Update: my arc on L world, USA, was just restored minus contributions.

It's not so much the benefit itself that's the problem, it's the amount of benefit. Big Arcs pay out a lot of FPs and medals to players who know what they're doing, possibly more than Inno really wants...

The amount of benefit grows with the amount of FPs invested. From level 1 to 10, you get 2-3% increase per level. From 10 to about 60 you only gain 1% per level. Above that, it's 0.5%. To get to high level you invest thousands and thousands of FPs and for that investment you are rewarded.

I can argue that the benefits provided by a level 164 Zeus is ridiculous or that having a 300% coin boost is equally ridiculous or unfair but the thing is PEOPLE WORK TO GET THERE. and the people that do, KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

Contributions on the current level went back to the player that placed them. All restored levels show the GB owner as fully leveling.

Seems somewhat restored, at least my mate got his 30 levels back but I ma sure he has lost on all rewards that came in at the reduced value.

Contributions did not get restored. I had about 8k fps out on other player's gbs that are not on the gb nor are they back in my inventory.

The message I saw said they are "discussing" how to handle those contributions...

Panacea's announcement, for those who haven't seen it:

"Dear Players,

Thank you for your patience while we've been working on fixing the Great Building-related problems.
We would like to inform you that any Great Building levels lost with yesterday's issue have been restored to their rightful level. We are aware that some progress was lost with the initial downgrade of the Great Buildings. We're currently discussing how to handle that matter, however we believe that restoring the levels was the most important thing.

Players who chose to remove their downgraded Great Buildings from their cities are kindly requested to get in touch with our support.

We would like to extend our sincere apologies for the unfortunate situation, and assure you that we will be taking steps to prevent similar issues in the future.

Thank you for your understanding,
The Forge of Empires Community Management and Development Teams"

I personally believe that apologies are pretty much by definition NOT "sincere" if they're signed only by a PR spokesperson and not by the person(s) responsible for the screwup. For extra credit, instead of boilerplate assurances that they're "taking steps" to prevent a recurrence, Inno could outline step by step the decision process that lead to this fiasco in the first place.

Why is anyone surprised by this. Its a typical Inno screw up with every update or change log. NOTHING they do benefits the player my friends. All I can say is follow the money. If u think that give a rats ass about parity, equality or whatever they choose to call it ur in neverland

What led to this problem was INNOs decision to downgrade some GBs to start with ie. Kraken. Typical of socialist thinkers.

So, let's review. Sometime about 36 hours ago or so, a whole bunch of GBs lost a lot of levels through some unfortunate occurence. Yesterday Inno, through their channels, communicated both here and in game that they were aware of the problem and working on it. Now they tell you that they have restored the GB levels and are working on how to fix the rest, because they thought it important to do what they could now instead of waiting for a full fix. They have expressed their apologies in each of these communications, if I remember right, and they have also offered help to those who deleted their GBs, in what could only be described as a knee-jerk reaction by those players.

And you're not satisfied? Because you fix every problem that you run across in your life, even the massive ones, immediately? Really? I don't think so. I think Inno has been doing all they can to remedy the situation, and I think their communication about it has been fine. You all are a bunch of whiny babies who couldn't play with your stuffed toys for a few hours. Get over it, and cut Inno some slack. Quit holding them to a higher standard than you hold yourselves.

Personally, I am satisfied with the current step. I am not out investments since I was solely focused on leveling my arc. The damage to me has been undone. I do still hope that those who had FP investments out there get restored too once they figure out how.

If I screw up, I explain exactly how the screw up happened. I definitely don't direct someone else to apologize on my behalf.

Just did a little reading on the Crystal Villa fiasco, as I joined a few months ago.

Curious for those involved, did INNO end up gifting the premium buildings to take their spot, or at least refund the deleted ones to your inventory?

And others mentioned the great "archer nerf". what was that all about?
