Disturbing revelation about the Event

These chance based grand prizes are ruining the events for me. No matter how skillful I execute the event I may not win any of the grand prizes.

In any case, the very idea of seeing the prizes, and then the shuffle gives the idea that watching the shuffle matters. Aka, a lie!

No you made an assumption.....which would of been easily checked by inquiring with support, coming to this forum or pretty much anyone who's played any of the events. They are ALL chance based. If you don't like it being based on chance don't participate.....but if you thought it was 'skill based' and you didn't bother to check how the game actually worked 1st then you aren't all that skillful.

What you really mean is you thought you found a flaw in the system that you could use to beat the house. Now you know better.

This event is totally lame, as usual.

Normally lame because there are no prizes worth winning. This year, it's lame because you need to win a ridiculously large number of prizes for it to be worth winning any. I'm not even bothering with the quests this year. I stopped at the 20x 5min productions quest.

Also, the shuffle button is dumb and makes this event wholely unenjoyable.

Wow, good thing you're not forced to participate - lucky you.

If you could really trace the event prizes?
Inno would be broke.

Bob records the game while the presents are shuffling. Plays the video back in slow motion. Determines where X2 and SOK prizes are.
Gets X2 and SOK. Boom, 2 SOKs.
Rinse and repeat.

With some preparation you could get a giga amount of SOKS.

Would be interested in knowing how many times people got the shuffle of death before the daily special. I know my luck is bad in this game, but so far I have had 4 to 5 times more shuffles appear that the daily appears. I normally have to uncover nearly all prizes to get the daily compared to only a few to get the shuffle.

The worst is getting a 2x Payout present, then getting Shuffle.

"If Inno wants people to spend diamonds, just say so clearly..."

Um... o_O

It's random chance. Given the sheer number of players there will be a few players that get exceptionally lucky or unlucky in regards to the shuffle and the daily prize. Of course in my experience playing cards against people (a regular game against mostly the same people for more than a decade) people remember the 'bad beats' far more often than the lucky wins. The unlucky chances that occur most people remember (probably enhanced in their memory).

Inno doesn't need to cheat because they set it up so that they win just like a casino. That's why this game is free to play but you can buy benefits thru the usage of diamonds. Inno's model mostly avoids straight up selling (and the exceptions tend to be rather costly).

Yeah...try this on for size....I picked the 'Show Two' and guess what it showed...? The shuffle and some coins. I'm homefree right...? Wrong. Third pick in I hit a 'Shuffle' and instantly the prizes changed. Did I accidentally hit the shuffle..? Nope, I was on the other side of the present rectangle....Bug...? Doubtful, part of the design in presents is my conspiracy theory. I'm beginning to think the whole damn thing is a con....at least with the Casino wheel I could watch the prizes spinning...they just didn't change into something else while was watching it...INNO, I'm getting less and less impressed with your actions on a daily basis...

There is only 1 shuffle button. Between the choice of you either misreading the prize, misclicking, out right lying or Inno bothering to cheat you personally........I'm going with it being all on you. ;)

P.S. the 2x and the shuffle button look quite similar if you take a quick look.

I don't think it's cheating me personally...I think it's cheating EVERYBODY...and making a point I may be lying lying about it is fighting words in my dojo, pal....

I'm going with the mistaken identity possibility. I've never seen more than one Shuffle, and this is my 3rd Winter Event.

They don't need to cheat everybody because they set it up in a way to maximize the amount of diamonds used in the first place. There are a lot of players that when the right prizes came up would find out if there were more than 1 shuffle. the sheer number of players would eventually result in a large number of them getting the shuffle discovered via the 'show two' option and then Inno would be screwed once that got around to the player base.

They make their money because of the sheer number of players that will play daily (or close to it) and will spend diamonds to get the prizes they want to later on. One shuffle is enough to increase the amount of diamonds used but if they wanted two shuffles they'd just put in two shuffles. No need to hide it or try and alter the code to bring up the shuffle extra times. Even if you want to believe that.....then they'd be smart enough to simply program the show two option to NEVER SHOW THE SHUFFLE.

Only true if you're talking about the set pieces. On Yorkton, I've already scored a Champion's Retreat, an SoK and a HoF. I would say most players would agree that those prizes are worth winning. And that's with saving most of my Stars in hopes of seeing an OBS BP at some point.

You're having more luck than me. I've spent ~200 stars to win absolutely nothing

I've been cleaning up on the 2 worlds were I need it the least. My new world has yielded less than desirable results...which is the only world were I have bought stars in this event.
Which is most likely:
Despite spending $20...Inno's devs have decided that mathew the magnificent75 shall make no significant progress in Yorkton....despite his willingness to spend.
Or.......
There are no conspiracies...its purely a game of chance.

I do not have a problem with the visual shuffle not being related to the actual positions of rewards, it seems logical to stop cheating. With the summer wheel, chances to get what you wanted were bigger when trying to get the right timing, but certainly not 100%, unless maybe for those who had developed a way of making it foolproof, which in my way of thinking is still cheating.

What I DO have a problem with is the 'reshuffle' which is really a 'start all over again from scratch' and not a reshuffle of cases left to uncover. I have hit that now 3 times, 1st time after I had uncovered more than half of the cases. That means having spent more than 100* for prints and coins and other useless things, while making it virtually impossible to get today's special.

There is no way around the reshuffle, it is not optional like it was with the wheel.

If Inno wants people to spend diamonds, please say so clearly, or at least take the reshuffle out after having hit it the first time
I agree with you 100% about the reshuffle; it is horrible. I have had the exact same problem you have.

Well, count my duped, bamboozled butt in the crowd that thought there was a skill component. Then again, I never put much thought past "Oh boy! I wonder if I can track this shuffle... ahh crap".That being said...

I'm not surprised that it is all chance. In fact, this thread has made me realize how any game based in micro transaction revenue would never have something 'skilled' based. Darn technology/robots taking away our fun/jobs!
