Forge Bowl 2019 Feedback

I was barely able to get the SoK from the touchdown. Unfortunately, since I joined late in the event, I was unable to get most of the other rewards. I'm assuming that a lvl 3 Colossus isn't worth it for now. Ah well, there's only so much you can do in a day.

I completed all of the event quests, and I have only 7 upgrade kits. .Like a recurring quest, the same question is repeatedly evoked by the way this game is managed by InnoGames. .Is it incompetence or malice on their part?

No, I managed to get the full set of upgrades on two different cities without spending a dime. It's all about choosing the right player. The players all pretty much had trash anyway, so unless you were trying to farm set pieces choosing the player with the best ball/yards ratio was the way to go. The gold players were consistently among the worst players where going for the ratio or going for the highest chance for the DS. I didn't even play all mine for the ratio, I went for highest DS on both Jaims and Parkog, and still got the full Colossus.

Final take:
Jaims: Level 10 Colossus, 4 Classical Garden Pools, 2 Classical Garden Patios, 2 Classical Garden Statues, 2 Athlete Living Quarters, 12 Watchfires
Parkog: Level 10 Colossus, 14 Wishing Wells, 1 Wishing Well Shrink Kit, 2 Rogue's Hideout Shrink Kits, Athlete's Living Quarter, 2 Contestant Estates
Arvahall: 1 Wishing Well, 4 Wishing Well Shrink Kits, 1 Rogue's Hideout Shrink Kit
Greifental: 4 Wishing Wells, 4 Wishing Well Shrink Kits
Tuulech: 4 Wishing Wells, 2 Wishing Well Shrink Kits.

Not bad at all. I even finished the quests over on Parkog and that wasn't even a priority.

Don't worry about it too much. If you're new, and your city is still BA or IA, any prizes other than a Wishing Well or Rogue's Hideout would start at a low age and soon get outclassed. Victory Towers too, but they suck. There's still the usual yearly events coming up, Carnival probably by the end of the month, the Spring Event around April, then Summer Casino, Fall Event, Halloween Event, and Winter Event. Plenty of opportunities to pick up some nice stuff for your city.

Spent 20 dollars to get the 1200 football deal on sok day. I ended in silver league, and have a lvl 10 colossus plus 1 upgrade left over.
Anyway, I now have like 40 soks in my hma city, so for now that's enough. Next events I can start chasing other prizes besides soks.

First event I played was the tail end of last years forge cup, I am quite partial to these kinds of events.

I got the full Colossus in all seven of my cities without spending a dime. Unfortunately, you did it wrong. I took advantage of this forum to choose the most efficient players. It was easy, no diamonds involved. So, neither malice nor incompetence...on their part.
I also was able to get lvl 10 on both of my worlds by a margin of 15 and 25 yards. 15 yards I chose the highest daily special every time. 25 yards I chose the most efficient yardage player each time.

As expected, I managed to get a fully upgraded Collosus without spending any diamonds.

I love how the level 10 Colossus looks. From the daily specials, I got a few SoKs in my main world and 13 or 14 WWs in my diamond farm world.

I was glad there were alternatives to the quests requiring me to progress on the continent map.

All in all, a great event that I really enjoyed!

I too am quite fond of the art of the colossus. One thing that bugs me, though, is that at least on mobile, the motivation star is right on face, making the statue look rather strange.

2 cities with a new level 10 Colossus, 3 full Garden Sets plus 1 extra Pool in each city, 5-6 new SoKs in each city, a RH shrink kit in one, 5 VT upgrades in the other, a bunch of FPs, and other assorted stuff in both. Both cities ended in Bronze league for the final upgrade, a Reno Kit, and 50 more FPs. No diamonds needed.

Really great event.

The portrait of the guy for this event is wearing a *baseball* cap.

(And not that it matters, but I'll add myself to the list of people who got the fully upgraded Colossus and the complete Classical Garden set in both my cities, without spending diamonds. It wasn't brain surgery.)

Haven't you ever noticed the backup quarterback on the sidelines in a football game with a clipboard? He's always wearing a baseball type cap.

what a beautiful Statue

if we're still doing levels in. the future then why not auto complete the amount of levels in inventory so I do not have to hit inventory--->col---->magnifier----colossus upgrade tool---->use-----UPGRADE........repeat 8 more times o_O
From the Changelog that will be in Wednesday's update:
"You may remember we recently changed the way Self Aid kits work ingame, making it so you don't have to use them one at a time. Based on your feedback, we applied the same functionality to building upgrade kits, making it much easier to apply upgrades to your buildings. Now, you won't have to repeatedly open your inventory to apply them!"

With multi-level event buildings, I've stopped dropping them and upgrading them all at once. I finally built the Colossus when we got the 'Add population' event quest. To complete the quest I had to raise it to level 3, but since then I've applied one upgrade per day. The artwork for each level of the Colossus is so detailed, it's been nice enjoying them as I watch the Colossus slowly being constructed. It hit level 9 after today's collection, so level 10 tomorrow I give it another day for final inspection before the scaffolding comes down.

Yes indeed. Since there are like, what, 2 million accounts, only 200,000 should have gotten the portrait.
It's 1% of those who participated in the event, not total accounts on a world. So abandoned accounts or those that didn't do the event won't count. Either way, I'm not disappointed not to have one and thank the one's that do.:)

That's right. I remember from the Fall Event that everyone was part of the League Rewards. Now, only those that got at least 4 yards (I think) were participants.
This definitely helped the game balance. I am looking forward to future events!:D

Good event overall for me.

Things I liked:
- the classical garden set had good level of multiple boosts + only 3 pieces with relatively smallish 4x4 total size. Made getting multiple sets easier & getting multiple desired boosts easier without having to have all 3 pieces (secondary to creative arrangement). I was even able to put my older, larger elephant set in storage, replaced (& exceeded in most every way) by my new CG sets
- WWs wasn't a daily special too early, when total footballs accumulated would've still been on the low side. Therefore, I was in a position to get a very good number of them by the time they showed
- didn't have a tech tree quest requirement

Things needing improvement:
- if Inno's going to do another football/Super Bowl themed event, please pay attention to a game or two before making your graphics. Such a pathetic, wimpy way my players just tipped over backwards when pushed a little. That's not tackling (not sure what it was, actually).

Or some actual plays. Honestly, the team would do much better if they didn't do the same play every time.

What sucked is that the Rogue Hideout was not a daily special, yet its Shrink Kit was! One of my friends who plays this game had three of them, but no Hideouts to use them on.
