isn't it per sector held, not per siege laid? our goods cost went down when we lost a sector, even though we've laid many more sieges.

That's correct. To clarify, my definition of siege number is: # of sectors held + # of sieges in progress + 1

DeletedUser8152

If you have multiple sieges in place at the same time, does the cost go up the same way? For example, if I have 3 sectors, then it costs 20 goods to siege a fourth. If I lay a 5th siege before taking the fourth sector, would it cost 20 goods, or 30?

Is this cost per age or is this cost based on the total number of sectors held across all ages?

Why has this guide not been updated to the new siege cost format?
The ability to search a forum for updated information is as important as the updates are that change the formats !!!

Noob Question: if the besieging guild continuously delete their sieges before they are broken does the goods cost pr siege still apply? Also, do they lose the SA? Or is this simply a strategy to quickly reset the siege so that the defending guild cannot add more DA's? Thanks in advance for any info on this matter.

My understanding of goods cost is this (If this is wrong then someone please correct me):

> Full cost paid for attacking before the siege starts
> Cancelling a siege refunds half the cost
> releasing a siege refunds half the initial cost and any additional slots unlocked for defence armies

The latter - the goods and siege army are already consumed. Deleting to replace is to get a new siege army up on your timing rather than the defender's timing of winning the last battle.

Cancelling a siege refunds nothing. You have to win the sector and release it to get half back.
Releasing a sector refunds half of what it'd take to immediately win it back and unlock the same number of defense slots (original siege cost is irrelevant, only how many sectors you currently hold and thus what the siege cost will be *now*)
