Is it possible to make presets formations for our army on the battlefield
And if not will this be a good idea instead

Battlefields are random so presets would be a moot point

Well.... I mean it is technically possible. Just go and place your troops in the way you want on the battlefield, in the same way, every time. You'll lose a lot of battles, but at least they'll be in formation.

But you'll need a really good formation to win.
