Fighting on the Mars map?

I just got to the Mars map and I am getting destroyed in the very first sector when fighting. The first sector is filled with what seems like all Mars ranged units. I usually fight with 2 units plus 6 Rogues and my 2 units are usually getting destroyed before I can even take a turn. Rogues seem to be fairly useless in Mars or am I missing something? Do they want to force you to negotiate through the map?

Looks a team full of ninjas seems to do fairly well. I guess I'll have to start training those.

On Mars, I went up against 4 Teslas(450,550) and 4 Sentinels(550,450). My guys were 2 Teslas(1629,847) 2 Space Marines(1810,770) and 4 Sniperbots (2172,616). I lost big time, only one man standing with about 8 points. The other side had 3 men left. What is wrong with this picture?

On the continent map, the defending army ignores the rogues if it can hit something else. Ranged units can hit something else. Don't use 6 rogues.

Its really hard to imagine you could have gotten to SAMs without knowing this.

Did the IA pick the attack army or did you do that?

You used 4 sniperbots. On the other side are 4 sentinels. Sniperbots can't hit sentinels. How stupid can you get?
