Story quest

I’m ready to move into the next age. I have about 20 story quests left of the list according to wiki from my current age. If I move up will I still be required to complete the story quests from the previous age or will they auto complete so that I will start on the story quests of my new age? If I have to complete those 20 or so quests left from this age I may as well stay in this age a little longer but I’m hoping I can avoid them by moving forward in age. BTW I understand that story quests can not be aborted so that is not my question. Thanks for any helpful guidance!

You will still have to do them. The story quests will not auto- complete if you move up.

If you can not abort a quest they are mandatory, so you have to do them. They do not autocomplete.
