Aztec Goods Costs

Ummm, it costs 5 diamonds to straight up buy each good when you unlock a building and 10 diamonds to buy a chance at getting a good in the courtyard market.

Anyone see a problem with that?

Nope. If someone wants to pay extra diamonds, then good for them. But you don't need any diamonds to finish in first for settlements. See my guide linked in my signature if you need help with them :)

The point being is why does it cost MORE to get a CHANCE at a good then it does to just buy the good?

Because it would be a better game if it made more sense?

Like why have a recurring quest that is to pay 250 of current era goods, to gain significantly less in reward? it simply makes no sense.

Why not charge 5 diamonds for a chance to get a good in the Aztec courtyard market? Many more players would spend the 5 diamonds vs spending 10 diamonds.

We lack the data to judge Inno's methodology for effectiveness in their method of extracting money from the the player base other than that they have to have a pretty good idea how they choose to price things and impact on player's responding to those amounts.

As for the current era goods example was the reward random? sometimes they give out better rewards. Sometimes they clearly meant to fake out the players. :p
