This. Aid just automatically M/Ps a building so there's not much difference. If there's a specific BP you want, you can manually M/P buildings from the GB's age.

In my opinion, especially if you don't have the Rain Forest Project (a Great Building that increases your chances of getting BPs), manually aiding a building from a specific age in hopes to get a BP from that age is way too time consuming.

You're better off donating FPs to a GB you need BPs for.
