Bunnies!

DeletedUser3

Dear Kings and Queens,

There is egg-citement among your city's population. From Wednesday, March 20th, a visitor in town has brought items - including several special, unique items - to exchange for Easter eggs you can find in your city, or earn through a series of Easter quests.

Bunnies - prompted by visitors to your realm - will be dashing to and fro hiding small, oval objects behind statues, bushes and other city decorations for you to find. You can hide eggs in other cities too, to help your friends and neighbors gather enough eggs to trade for items.

When the event becomes active you will see a new quest icon appear on the left side of your screen, the beginning of a new line of quests for you to complete. The event will run until April 3rd. After it ends, the trader will remain available for a further week and leave on April 10th, giving you an opportunity to trade any remaining eggs.

During the event, a new resource will be added to the game... Easter eggs! There are two ways to gather eggs: you can collect eggs other players have placed in your city, or you can complete the Easter quests to earn eggs as rewards. An egg counter is displayed in the top left corner of the game window. These eggs can be traded for items (click the counter to open the egg trader).

Collecting Easter eggs from your city

When you log into the game, you might see some gold egg icons hovering over your decorations. This is an indicator that there are Easter eggs hidden behind the decoration, placed there by another player. To collect the egg, click the decoration, and your egg counter will increase:

When you click, a colored egg animation appears over the decoration, showing you what kind of egg you found. Each variety of egg has a different "egg value". So, for example, if you find the pale blue egg, this is worth 5 eggs which will be added to your egg counter:

Hiding eggs in other players' cities

Hiding eggs in other cities requires bunny actions. Just like with Forge Points, you have a bunny action counter, which increments by 1 each hour, but there is a limit of 6 bunny actions in the action bar. If you have actions available, you'll be given an option when visiting other cities to hide an egg, alongside the options to polish or motivate a player's buildings:

To hide an egg, it must be placed in a decoration. Gold eggs will indicate where it's possible to hide an egg for the other player to find! Placing one egg will cost you 1 bunny action.

If you run out of bunny actions, you can either wait for your actions to increase again, or you can click the "+" icon in the bunny action bar to purchase additional actions with Diamonds.

Trading your Easter eggs

You can trade your Easter eggs with the trader who will remain in your city for 1 week after the event has ended. On April 10th the trader will leave and you'll lose any remaining eggs, so be sure to spend them before April 10th!

At the trader, you'll find a selection of items available, including Forge Point packages, unique avatars, and we also have several unique new buildings... and a new unit with a unique special ability! The buildings and special unit will scale according to the Age of your city, and so they will never expire!

We hope you enjoy the event and the unique new rewards, and we wish you a very happy Easter.

Sincerely,
The Forge of Empires team

Greetings Kings and Queens,

We're back, and we hope you had a chance to check out the Easter event, which started today. If you have, you may be wondering what the new items and units will do, so please read on for a short explanation. We also have a short video tutorial about the Easter event. You can view it ---> HERE <---. The video is in English, but there are subtitles in German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Portugese and Dutch (to access subtitles, click the "captions" button at the bottom of the video screen).

Watchfire

Provides a 4% stackable defense boost.

Wishing well
Provides a random pickup every 24 hours. Some types of pickup are more common than others.

Rogue hideout
A military building where rogues are produced.

Rogue
This is a new unit type with a unique special ability: it can disguise itself as other units in battle.

Special ability: "Secret Identity" - If attacked (also attacked through retaliation), the initial attack is ignored completely. Instead, the Rogue is replaced by a random other unit of a type that the player controls, cloning all of that unit's basic stats (including rewarded battlepoints) and special abilities.

Example: A player has 2 Rogues, 2 Slinger and 1 Horseman. One Rogue gets attacked - the attack does not do damage, instead the Rogue gets transformed into another unit, cloning either a Slinger or Horseman (chances are: 66% Slinger, 33% Horseman due to distribution). If a Rogue would transform, but there are no other units but Rogues remaining, his transformation does not take place and he gets removed instead! At the end of a combat in the result screen the cloned unit is replaced again with the Rogue. Any damage the cloned unit took is transferred to the Rogue.

Sincerely,
The Forge of Empires team.
