Change Log 1.25

Hello Kings and Queens,

The update to 1.25 will take place on May 6th. This update consists mostly of bugfixing, along with some small minor improvements, but we also have two bigger features to present: expanded city map which will give you much more freedom when building up your beautiful city and hardware acceleration, which utilizes your graphics card to display your city, instead of your processor.

There will be a short period of downtime during the update, we apologize for this little inconvenience.

Features/Changes
  • Hardware acceleration
The Hardware acceleration feature utilizes your graphics card to display your city, instead of your processor. This should result in a performance boost on most of modern machines. In the last weeks we worked hard on improving this feature.
The feature can still cause problems on computers with old or uncommon graphics cards (city not being shown or the performance might be very slow), in which case the player should disable the setting. Please be aware that most of animations will not work with the new engine yet. It is known and does not need to be reported.

To activate the hardware acceleration feature go to the settings page in your account and enable “Hardware Acceleration (Beta)”:

  • Expanded city map
The city surroundings have been reworked and received new graphics which will allow you to add more expansions to the town in the future. And from this update, if you have some spare expansions, you can already use new areas!

  • Pressing the "Surrender" button should now result in a confirmation dialogue in battle.
  • The surrender option now displays the opponents moves before displaying the results screen.
  • Sector 36,15 (PE) has been changed from rocks to beach, because it was too disruptive to the map.
