We just wanted to let the Forum regulars know that we are changing the requirement as far as proposal format is concerned. The Community Managers feel that relaxing the stringent requirement for a specific format will make the proposal process a more welcoming experience for Forum posters. We are able to do this now because the way the staff has to submit a proposal to the developers has been relaxed also. While we (as a staff) will still encourage posters to use the format as a guide, we will no longer move or close proposal threads simply because they are not using the suggested format. As long as a proposal is clear as to what the suggested change to the game is, we will allow it to follow the path of discussion, nomination, voting (if appropriate) and submission (if approved by the required %) as it is written.

Please note that the moderating staff will make the sole determination as to whether a proposal is worded clearly enough to be intelligently discussed and/or voted on or submitted. We would appreciate it if those commenting on a proposal will confine their remarks to the merits of the proposal. If you feel that a proposal is not clear enough, please contact a moderator with your concerns. As of this posting, @Stephen Longshanks will be the main moderator for the Proposals section.

We will be editing the Proposal Guidelines thread to reflect this change. We anticipate and appreciate the cooperation of frequent Forum posters in this change.
