Diamond offers

I don't buy Diamonds, but I have a friend who does. He says that since the Winter Event started he has gotten a new offer every single day. Right now it's +100%. Every time one expires, he says another one pops up almost immediately. Any other Diamond buyers experiencing this? And if so, is it indicative of FoE revenues falling, do you think?

FOE gives people who consistently buy diamonds better offers.

I'm surprised it's not MORE often. I don't even think I get an offer 1x a month. I get other offers about the same.

Eh, I considered buying the very cheapest diamond thing (~$5) a few events ago because I was one or two turns short to max a building. I only pay for things with prepaid debit cards however, and they cannot be used for overseas purchases, so no sale to me. Thanks for saving me money :)

I get special offers all the time. I buy them regularly and Inno doesn't make "diamonds" they are virtual. It would make no business sense not to upsell a known responsive client.

I used to buy Diamonds fairly regularly, but haven't in a while. And like the OP's friend, I have gotten one every single day since the Winter Event started. Whatever world I'm on when the previous day's offer expires, I get a fresh one. Always the same, 100% extra Diamonds. To be clear, I have gotten offers off and on since I started playing. Never have I gotten an offer two days in a row, however, let alone every single day for weeks on end. And never the same exact offer repeatedly.

I have been playing more than 6 years and have to say that the 100% and 200% sale offers that some players get are a real sore point for me. I have NEVER gotten a +100% or +200% diamond offer, not once in 6 years. The only offers I see are the lame ones everyone gets for "get event currency when you buy diamonds". It is unfair for others to get diamonds to ease their play and get multiple event buildings at 1/3 the cost to me. Inno says it's random but it can't be random, not after 6 years of no offers. They have to code accounts for offers/no offers for the same people to get multiple 200% offers at the start of an event while others get nothing. And the new Castle System skews it even more - huge Castle rewards when you buy diamonds, so I will see myself moving down the player rankings, passed by players not as good or consistent as I am in every aspect of the game, just because they open their wallets for offers. Can't even use a new city bonus to add Castle points to my main.

Send a +200% offer to everyone, Inno, it is way past due.

Do you buy Diamonds? Regularly? Ever? If you never or rarely buy Diamonds, they won't offer you the sweetest deals. They offer them to people that they know are more likely to spend money...which is the people that have a track record of spending money. If you've been playing for free for 6+ years, they know that you are highly unlikely to turn into a regular spender, so why offer you a sweet Diamond deal?

I am a regular spender and get the 200% about once per month. The Castle system actually is the first time I've seen Inno acknowledge that the spenders keep this game viable for them. Still very expensive to level being about 2000$ CAD to max it out.

I might be a regular spender if they sent me 200% offers every month. Why should I spend 3X what you spend to get the same diamonds?

You don't get it. I don't have a problem with Inno selling diamonds to support their operations and make a profit. I do have a problem with their unfair pricing that skews the game in favor of some players over others.

Then why would I not expect a 400% offer as a thank you for spending money on the game ? When does the escalation stop ? When you go into an electronics store and spend 2000$ you get a much nicer TV than the person who spends 150$. That is a capitalist system and they way the world works. The developers have to eat and pay their bills like we do and the 300% offers are a cash cow for them if they keep it looking like a "special" .

It's not unfair pricing, because you are the one who chose not to spend money on the game. Why should freeloaders get the same sweet deals as the people who make it possible for the game to even exist? You should be thankful that you get to play the game for free. And have all the same opportunities as anyone else...it just takes longer without Diamonds. (Not to mention the fact that with just a little bit of effort you can have a pretty steady supply of free Diamonds. I average several hundred per week with minimal effort. Could be thousands a week with moderate effort.)

They give better offers no doubt to people that they'll expect to spend more money on the game because when they have diamonds they'll spend the diamonds. Perhaps those that buy more diamonds spend more on events and thus go through those extra diamonds faster. What is most likely is that they are making decisions based on spending habits in buying diamonds (your friend gets a lot of offers because he must accept just often enough that they know they can spam him till he gives in) and how you USE those diamonds. What you actually want is more diamonds for you to spend in minor increments for longer thus reducing Inno's actual revenue. Their system is designed to give more diamonds to those that will buy and use more diamonds (or at least will keep buying while hoarding said diamonds as Inno doesn't care if you use the diamonds so long as you are willing to buy more).

As for spenders moving up the ranks more where have you been all these years? The game is free to play but spenders get the benefit of spending because if they didn't then why would anyone spend money?

No, you don't get it.

Ever hear of loyalty programs? Buy 10 subs get one free? You can't get the free one unless you have a track record of buying subs. How about frequent flyer programs? Is it unfair that others get free tickets and first class upgrades and you don't? How much money you spending with the airlines? What about the whales at Vegas casinos? Is it unfair those dropping tens of thousands of dollars at the gaming tables get free rooms, meals, and drinks? How much money you dropping at the tables?

Or is it fair to pay full price for your subs, flights, rooms, meals, and drinks when you hardly, if ever, spend money with any of the companies offering the perks to their loyal customers.

Inno's pricing is fair. It's free. That loyal customers get better deals is smart business. That disloyal customers don't qualify for deals is also smart business.

No you wouldn't. Because they've already spent 100% more than you've ever spent.
