What if there was period music, so like: Colonial Age gets a Baroque to Classical music sounding thing, Postmodern gets postmodern (1960s-1980s) music, so like KISS and AC/DC and hippy music or something XD
If we can get a Renaissance Age before Colonial Age, then a new music can be integrated into both eras. Maybe expand the Stone Age a bit, so all the players get to play some hunting and agricultural stuffs.

I think it's the best if we have 1 music per 2 ages, 1 per era seems too many, so ->

Stone Age + Bronze Age
Iron Age + Early Middle Age
High Middle Age + Late Middle Age
Renaissance Age + Colonial Age
Industrial Age + Progressive Era
Modern Era + Postmodern Era
Contemporary Era + Tomorrow
Future + Arctic Future
Oceanic Future + Virtual Future
Space Age Mars + Space Age Asteroid Belt

Well, it would depend. They play ONE whole song for the entire age, and there's not a lot. Contemporary music (PLEASE NO BIEBS OR DESPACITO) is 2020, but everything else past that is not yet formed.
So:
BA-IA uses Hurrian Hymn No. 6 or something
EMA uses a Gregorian Chant
HMA to LMA uses lyre music
Colonial: Bach. Any Bach
Industrial Age: Beethoven. Any Beethoven
Progressive: Maple Leaf Rag or Entertainer
Modern: Something Frank Sinatra; hereupon comes the first public domain problem
Postmodern: KISS? (2nd public domain)
Contemporary: Hmm... Hey Ya! (3rd and final domain problem)

See. Probably not even 1000 (or even close to 500) dollars. Probably a good US$200 if unlucky
Beethoven's 6th Symphony, 1st movement, will be the best choice for the Industrial Age.

Probably not Beethoven's 5th Symphony for the game although this is the most famous 1.
