Dear Kings and Queens,

What an eggsellent Easter time this is! Really happy and absolutely-not-grumpy Greva Darn will need your help again on 25th of March. Your assistance will not be forgotten: she will reward you with beautiful Easter Eggs that you can use to obtain various valuable rewards - not only already well-known renovation kits, blueprints and buildings from previous events, but also brand new items, previously unseen in the game!

The event is going to be available cross-platform, so you can enjoy it on the go as well

Getting started
During the event, a new resource will be added to the game... Easter eggs! There are two ways to gather eggs: you can collect eggs other players have placed in your city, or you can complete the Easter quests to earn eggs as rewards. An egg counter is displayed in the top left corner of the game window.
You can trade your Easter eggs with Greva, who will remain in your city throughout the event and for several days after the event has ended (the event will end on April 8th, but you can still trade till April 12th).

Collecting eggs / hiding eggs in other players' cities
When you log into the game, you might see some colorful egg icons hovering over your decorations:

This is an indicator that there are Easter eggs hidden behind the decoration, placed there by another player. To collect the egg, click the decoration, and your egg counter will increase. A colored egg animation appears over the decoration, showing you what kind of egg you found. Each variety of egg has a different "egg value". So, for example, if you find the pale blue egg, this is worth 5 eggs which will be added to your egg counter. Try to find out which is the most valuable one!

Hiding eggs in other cities requires hiding actions. Just like with Forge Points, you have a hiding actions counter, which increments by 1 each hour, to a limit of 6 hiding actions in the action bar. You can see how many hiding actions are available right next to your Easter eggs counter:

If you have actions available, you'll be given an option when visiting other cities to hide an egg, along with the usual options to polish or motivate a player's buildings. To hide an egg, it must be placed in a decoration. Grey eggs will indicate where it's possible to hide an egg for the other player to find! Placing one egg will cost you 1 hiding action:

While this is the "traditional" way to hide eggs, there is also way faster and more convenient way - simply click eggs icon next to another player's avatar:

A pop-up window will let you know where you hid the egg.

If you run out of hiding actions, you can either wait for your actions to increase again, or you can click the "+" icon in the hiding action bar to purchase additional actions with Diamonds.

The Easter Trader
You can trade your Easter eggs with Greva (and this is what makes them valuable). To access the trade window, simply click the eggs counter.

At the trader, you'll find a selection of finest items available: a cornucopia, a brand new unit, buildings, renovation kits... And you can also find 3 mystery chests - bronze, silver and gold - which contain different prizes, including special buildings. Your chances of finding different items will be shown in the tooltip when you hover over a chest. For every item you buy from the trader, you will see a green dot appear over the item. Checking off every item at the trader unlocks the special collection reward - the Shrine of Awe - which is added to your inventory. After you've won it, the reward - and all items - are reset, so you can try to win it again!

On April 12th the trader will leave and you'll lose any remaining eggs, so be sure to spend them before April 12th!

We hope you enjoy the event. Oh... and one more thing: stay tuned for more information about rewards! They're coming up soon

So what can you get in the event...

Apart from a few well-known buildings and other items from previous events, we also have some new goodies up for grabs during the current Easter event:

easter15bulletpoint1.png
Drummer School
What is an army without a drummer? You can now prolong life expectancy of your soldiers by aiding them with a drummer that you can train in the Drummer School:
easter15drummer.png
The Drummer School not only allows you to recruit drummers, but also provides an attack bonus for your attacking army.

The Drummer

It's quite useful to have a drummer in your army. Although a drummer is not much of a fighter, he can light fire in hearts of other soldiers.
easter15thedrummer.jpg

Drummers have a new skill: Morale, that will make your units tougher: an extra "shield" health point is given to each unit in the army, so they can take more damage. That one point can sometimes make a huge difference.

Shrine of Awe
Shrine of Awe is an AWEsome residential building that also produces medals when it's motivated (every 24 hours):

So make sure that you get your friends and guild mates to motivate it everyday to never miss out on an opportunity to increase the number of your precious medals.

Avatars
We also have two very pretty and very colorful avatars for you (look up). Do they look familiar? Try to recognize who acted as our models!

Have a nice time playing our Easter event :).

Yours,
Forge of Empires Team
