The ship seems like a new mini-game - another great idea to keep the FoE interesting, without becoming way OP(overpowered) against the new players just starting. Sounds great! Can't wait to try it out tomorrow :) :)

Outside of progressing through the tech tree this harbor seems worthless. As an endgame player I am looking for something that will make my city better, this doesn't seem to. I don't even want any building that is on the tech tree at this point so why would I bother spending goods to do this when I get no benefit out of it?

Idk, this just seems like a mechanic to slow the tech tree down but truly adds 0 value/benefit to the game or city. I'm very disappointed the 2nd AF GB has not been released yet.

Do You have to be in the Arctic on the Continent Map to Send the Ship...It keeps saying to use 170 Diamonds to send it.

DeletedUser6175

You have to have researched the 2nd new tech, Promethium Extraction, to be able to send the ship. I was able to send the ship from my city right after that.

I can't say whether or not you have to be in the Arctic on the Continent Map, I'd already finished the 1st section before this new part came out.

I am not in artic age, but I read the announcement and it just doesn't seem like this new feature would be any fun. It sounds like a chore more than fun and doesn't appear to have any rewards that would encourage one to do it. Hope to hear more feedback on it, but from what I read, I think I will just continue to hang out in future age. I already have GE to do. This sounds like more work and expense just to do the tech tree. Perhaps though it is a challenge.

There are too many Recurring Quest. This was brought up during beta testing and ignored. My tortured mouse fingers predict that it will again be ignored here.

The Promethium cannot be traded and is required for the tech tree. It is a cute/clever way to slow down a player’s progress.

I do have to thank the developers for not having Promethium required on the Map. Lower Age/Era players who like moving through the map will not impeded.

Lucky me, i am already at Future Era and not plan to advance into Arctic Future Era until the Era is completed. In sense i am already at the "End" of the tech tree :)

W-e-l-l, I am not in Artic yet; But, find this to a great, new, and novel adventure. Love the ship part. Keeping things fresh and innovative will keep interest.

The ship isn't a bad idea - it gives something else to work on while waiting for the next stage of the Arctic Future.

The thing I'm disappointed about is the lack of grid expansions available. Only 2 available city expansions for all of the new buildings and great buildings just doesn't cut it. Between the need for 2 lane roads and the size of buildings, adding only 2 grid expansions doesn't help much. Being able to add buildings from AF2 shouldn't require deleting productive buildings or great buildings already in the city.

It would be a great help if there were some rewards that gave expansions. Maybe something to use all these medals from the summer casino on....

I don't understand how to "repair" the ship. Mine was -15% immediately after unlock but I didn't see any option to spend goods repairing it. It seems like a large cost for minimal benefit. It cost me 75 goods to send a ship out which will bring back 49 promethium in 1 Day, 1 Hour. And that's it?

Is there any point to gather promethium after you gather the 760 required to unlock the 3 items on the tech tree? At this rate that will take minimum 16 days and cost at least 1,200 goods.

Does/will promethium have any other uses? Will the ship ever bring back other things like goods, medals, FPs, etc?

Also, I see no reason to build any of the newly released buildings. Seriously, none of them.

Pretty sure that is not the present condition of the ship, but what it will be when it comes back after the first trip. Repairs are made then. It's done that way so that you can see the effect on the ship the crew that you select has (I think).

Haven't gotten far enough to use the ship yet, but it does look interesting. But I do have one major issue and that is any GB that donates Arctic Age goods to the Treasury. UGGGHHH. Come on Inno, change it out. How about having the GB produce medals instead of goods since those are what is needed to fight in AA. Right now they are completely USELESS. What good is an observatory if it donates useless goods to the Treasury. The only reason I haven't deleted it yet is I hope the next Age will bring back some use to these GB's. To all who haven't joined AA yet, stay in FE. AA is a total bum rap in many ways.

I believe there was a proposal that I floated about INNO/"The Game" reverting back the goods to have them produce FE goods and some people said it was a bad idea and I wonder how those fools like about all their wasted goods stockpiling now in their guilds, lol.

Also, it was I whom before the new age came out, wrote a long post (as I am usually long winded) on why NOT to move into the new age. I also told those who thought they made a mistake to tell support you want to go back, lol. I wonder how that worked out for them.

About the new age, I am still happily sitting in FE and the only good thing that came out is a new Continent Map (Part 2) where I can get an expansion, other than that, the rest is a bust, STILL. So, I ask someone this, how long ago did they bring out AFE Age and now Part 2, then you can assume that it will take at least that long again for the next or Part 3 to get here. Enjoy the wait. :) I am sitting here in FE and will remain in FE.

The AF goods being donated to the guild treasury aren't wasted. They're there, and will be utilized when Inno comes up with a method for guilds to utilize them. As I've previously stated, (no matter how inconceivable this situation is to Steve) the guild I'm AF in has many more FE goods than we need for both GE and GvG for the foreseeable future. Therefore, for us, there wasn't any point in not advancing to AF. Certainly it might make sense for guilds that are not in our position (#1 in our world for a little over a year and a half) to not advance to AF.

Having said that, and having managed to do so without any personal attacks, except perhaps a whiff of condescension, my feedback for AF part 2 is much the same as my feedback for AF part 1. It sucks. For one, the buildings and units introduced continue to be underwhelming in comparison to their FE counterparts. Prior age advancements have always brought a distinct advantage in upgrading these to the following age. Not so with AF. The increases (where there are increases at all) are so minimal that I am not at all encouraged to build any of them. The addition of more recurring quests is a SERIOUS PAIN. It was already a pain clicking through to the quest one wanted to do, and now - It's almost like Inno wants veteran players to find some other game to play.

I don't mind the rogue fix. Non-continent AI remains as stupid as ever, and I don't use rogues on the continent map.

Also, unlike some here, I'm not bent out of shape about the number of expansions we've gotten. I understand Inno wants to sell the diamond expansions and I'm okay with that. However, while this isn't strictly AF-related, I would appreciate knowing if any more medal expansions will be available or if that's the end of them. I have a fair bit of space in my AF city devoted to medal production, and if there will be no more medal expansions for sure, I could better utilize the room.

Diamond expansions are finite as well. Which is part of the problem. I'd gladly spend some diamonds if the expansions were available.

My city is at a point where I've no medal expansions or diamond expansions available, and only 2 progression expansions in the AF2 release. Hence the slightly bent out of shape stance. My main reason for progressing into the AF at all was to get some real estate.

I also would like to know if there's any plans to add any additional medal expansions. I'm currently sitting on close to 1M medals (thanks to the summer casino...) and have valuable space devoted to their production that could be used much better elsewhere. And if not, why not? There's still a lot of space left in the grid to expand to, but no expansions available to buy or earn. More buildings are useless without the room to put them in without sacrificing valuable existing production.

You talk about dubiously devoting space to medal production you possibly don't need, while lamenting that you don't have more space. How about taking down the medal stuff and worry about getting them if/when you need that many and start using that space immediately? You can also, if you're intent on building any of the new stuff, take down some things you already have to make room if you deem them as being better. There's always something that can be placed into an open spot, regardless of 'how little' new space you're getting over time.

And, just saying, but if it was possible to fill out the entire grid the complaints would shift from there not being enough expansions to there not being enough places to put them all. There will be people who complain about it either way.

I can, and have, sold off anything that I don't feel is productive at this time. 99% of my buildings are Future or Arctic Future. The problem becomes that AF and FE production buildings require very large real estate commitments and 2 lane roads. Not to mention the supply of unrefined products. Theres only so much you can clear to make room for whats needed. The space I'm referring to that I'm reluctant to free up is occupied by GBs, quest rewards and specialty buildings, which, unlike the normal buildings really can't be replaced or swapped easily.

I realize there always have to be trade offs, and nothing any developer does will ever please everyone. But since the purpose of this thread is feedback about the new expansion, I'm giving what I feel are areas that need addressing. Expanding the tech tree and adding production buildings to an expansion without giving consideration to the limited real estate available is a subject that needs, IMO, to be addressed for AF3.

The whole arctic section holds no interest and I believe the game is heading in the wrong direction. they should have kept the same formula, perhaps making an intergalactic era which could have lead to some really interesting things. Come on developers, have some imagination
