Feedback for the Anniversary Event 2025

Please read about the Anniversary Event 2025 here and give your feedback below.
Here's my feedback.
  1. as is often the case, the prizes haven't been looked at with an eye to updating, and it shows.
  2. as usual, energy via incidents is half a turn more often than not. Don't mind more, obvs., but do mind less than a turn's energy.
  3. more buildings for the antique dealer. Don't like the aesthetic, not making room.
  4. So tired of the Rival; all that work for a pittance of a prize. Ugly ol' dude, too.

Just imagine if INNO makes a stepped down Rival a daily questline. That would be crazy.
Come to think of it, I should keep such a thing quiet. I don't want to give them any ideas.

A few things about the event, good and bad

Event building prizes not really worth the time, for me here and beta. Now, bcs things were screwed up in beta, I was able to get gold for 4K diamonds. We are given 1500 Ds for testing so really, it didn't cost me anything because I don't really spend it every event. In fact, I spend some every 3-4 events it seems. Here in live, I would never spend the D's bcs you really have to do a 160 board every day then see what is needed at the end, waaaaay too much hassle for me to even consider. And if in a race for gold at the end, it can cost a lot, each board is 2X ante.

Daily specials, if a QI player, really good, especially waiting for Koi ascended upgrades. We had every ascended upgrade for QI buildings plus the 2024 kit. If you are not a QI player, then not that special. depends on what you need.

Rivals isn't that bad, it seems they made it doable while you actually play, just takes a little patience. It was brutal the first round in beta, as mentioned, 6 quests each day and all over the place, usually 3-4 boards to complete. They went to Rivals every 2 days, I actually liked it and if flowed nicely so I am not surprised it went back to one day...lol If they make the quests doable, it is good to do for the extra gems and picks/prisms. The first Rivals live, with OR option we did not see in beta. If they are like that, not a big problem. One thing, I would have a goods building from your era ready, we saw them. You will need to do "finish goods" at times, I will keep mine at 8 hrs, ready to collect and see what happens. Colony folks have it different, just run 4 and 8 hour runs, 4 each and ANY goods quest will be a snap.

Diamond farmers, there is a good opportunity to get some well or shrinks. Talking to my diamond farmer buddy, he says get all quests done and you should have decent loot to get complete boards done. He said it can cost 500-600 energy to complete a board and there may be a few to skip until you get more gems. I guess you have to like the mini game too. I don't recall any events where a diamond farmer can get a building versus a few fragments.

EM and allies, since I do play the event, I figure the fragments will come so I have not really looked at it.

So, it is a 50/50 event, some will like and play, the others will not. For those playing, enjoy. And those not playing, you too, enjoy, your time away from an event.

For those doing Rivals, here is what I did in beta. I staggered boards. so, right now, I finished Rivals with 2 boards, 0 and 40. I launched board 80 but I did not play it. You do not lose it at reset. so, when the new Rivals comes in the morning, I can use it. Then when I finish board 80, my next board is the 0 from reset. Never hurts to have extra moves. I needed them in beta 1-day rivals, they were pretty tough. We had 6 quests versus 4, BIG difference. AND, they were hard ones. If you access Ubernerds spreadsheet you can see them all.

We had 4 quests, some with 2 parts. Did beta have 2 requirements per quest. It does help though to have 2 in the same quest since you can work on birth at the same time.

I'm guessing the quests still get harder as we go along. I'm sure we'll get pretty much the same ones as Beta.

in beta usually the last 2 but not minigame specific. A minigame and lets say, 15 - 4hr productions. Now we have just seen one day. I will update later if it changes. I thought in beta it would get progressively worse. It did not. Let's see. In regular Rivals, the 48 hour with 32 quests, it did get harder as you went along. I was expectation the "unlock one piece" for task 1 to change, it did not. It was there every day, it is like a freebie.

Has anyone else noticed that the number of fragments earned for completing tasks are off? I have completed 15 tasks so far (unlocking 20 pieces for each task) and I am still only receiving x19 fragments of the new chamber building for each completed task. According to the Rewards list, we are supposed to start receiving x20 fragments after completing 11 tasks. What gives?

Note: I submitted a ticket to support.

The task the world is on determines the maximum fragments you're able to receive atm. i.e. you might be ready for stage 11, but if the world is on 7, you get fragments for 7 until you can collect more world tiers.

This, assuming it's correct (and I trust @xivarmy) is complete bs. The task reward should be based on your number completed, not the world number.

I just confirmed this is the way it works. My World finally reached level 11 earlier today, and I did receive 20 fragments for completing a task, even though I've already completed 19 tasks by myself. Honestly, I do not feel the mechanics were very clear, and I wish I had known this earlier as I feel players will earn more fragments if they wait to complete tasks when the World level is higher. Oh well. Thanks again for the explanation.

Yes, it was the same with the last time the world event was a thing. But you can't just delay collecting your own either - as any extras you do while sitting at max progress for a task get wasted not saved. And if you wait too long to start doing more you'll pay more in extra board reset costs. But to the extent possible, you should delay the days where you do extra til nearer the end of the event.

You MUST collect at least one personal task on a level in order to collect the World prize for it. Careful with that one before you click on level up.

This doesn't make sense. What is a personal task on a level? For the World Challenge, you unlock 20 pieces and your World has completed that level, you can unlock pieces (personal reward) and then claim World Level completion reward.

You can't, the icon is locked and tells you to unlock more pieces.
When you're behind the world's level count it does. If you're ahead you can just claim it when the world catches up. You need to have completed at least as many sets of tasks as the world level you are claiming.

To clarify , in order to claim all world rewards up to level 50 you will have to have unlocked 1000 gems (50 X 20) and your world must have unlocked to level 50. Doable but hard.

You lose a lot of potential keys doing this, which means a deficit to the price line.

Also, will the world be able to make it that high? Unlikely, so then what with all these frags in the inventory?
