Feedback for the Anniversary Event 2025

You lose a lot of potential keys doing this, which means a deficit to the price line.

Also, will the world be able to make it that high? Unlikely, so then what with all these frags in the inventory?
Nothing about going for fragments necessitates missing out on keys. Maintain a good pace throughout to at least keep up with the world or maybe a little bit faster, and go a little harder in the second half of the event when you get more fragments per task set, currency permitting.

Given that people weren't coming close to finishing it on beta i understand the trepidation; it's supposedly rebalanced for live to be more possible.

Personally I'm not bothering because nothing in the event interests me much.

Yea, especially those damn blue drinks. I get so many of those from this event every year that it takes me a year, or so it seems, just to get rid of those damn things.

So I thought I would hate the daily rivals, but I'll say, at least, I don't hate them.

However here's why I don't like them:

1. I like to play after midnight when the daily special rotates. This forces me to wait 8 more hours until a time when I'm not even awake, because these basically take all daily encounters to complete.

2. I liked the old rivals. They were a small challenge every Tuesday morning. Lots of people in my guild liked the old rivals and liked the challenge, prepared for them. That challenge no longer exists (And no I don't want that level of challenge to be more frequent either).

So you guys basically replaced a decent feature with a meh

For me, I'd have to spawn more pieces to successfully/most efficiently get every piece put together to make a level 4 key. But I've been kind of like, that's a waste of energy so I'm combining pieces that I would lose out on a key but get me more unlocked pieces towards the world price.

Trying to get every key put together is inefficient for keys anyways. Once your spawn is likely to provide you a dud piece, you'll get more keys for the energy by resetting the board to get back to a point where every spawn is likely another key rather than trying to scrape together more. Which is also better for unfreezing more pieces (just pick up all the extra unused 4s before you reset).

I just play the minigame as usual for the dumb rival task that calls for unlocking a bunch of x keys or turning in a bunch of x keys-that usually gets the quest solved without changing gameplay-if not I could really care less-dumb rival needs drop kicked anyway. lol

Quite significantly, actually - instead of 800 tiles unlocked per active player to reach level 50, it's only 500 tiles.
Still way less generous than last year. Looks to be basically impossible to get 2 of the special building from the world challenge this year when one could easily get 2 and 3 was in reach with moderate diamond spending.

Yes, so when you get to that point where it's not "worth it" to get all of the keys put together, you lose those keys to unlock whatever else you can before swapping boards, is what I was trying to get at.

But it's better for both keys and unfreezes (per energy) to move on. You're not "losing" keys, you're getting them cheaper.

The only conflicting goal with that strategy is if you want to prioritize full-clear chests for wishing wells or finish alls or something.

Yeah the full clear chests are 100% garbage days, I thought they updated it to be worth spending a little extra energy to do it but guess not.

Also I came to post about how I'm not appreciating not being able to do supplies 24 hour tasks for my city because every day is a supplies task for the rival which really disrupts my flow of the city and collections. Today was goods productions but I didn't even set any productions because every day I've had to cancel all of my productions for the rivals task and that's really annoying. EVERY DAY this past week!!

We added up all the frags from the event and we will be over 400 fragments short of the 2k if we are somehow able to to finish all 50. Where are the other 432 fragments at?

LOL
The jokes on me. I had no reason not to, so I set my production buildings to the 4 hour cycle this morning because of the second task in today's Rival. Just noticed that collecting those buildings did not fulfill the task because...it said goods buildings! Boy, is my face red. Well, I'm not building 4 goods buildings just for the silly mini-game boost thingies.

I'm also wondering how far I have to get on this task line since there are so many frags on there. Couldn't think of any good prices to put on there I guess.

It might work out in the end but why throw an extra wrench in this monkey pot by making one key a lot more common than the other two.

Also make sure to do 1 27 progess each day. The first one is double points so it's 54 . Make sure that you always leave off with a 27 up next. This lets you have 54 the next day.

I would like to caveat that statement with: Where possible. You might wish to balance your use of keys with a desired daily special - leaving you set up for a lesser daily x2 bonus.

Just wait til we get to the next event. It s a new viking one and apparently it is not easy at all to get a lot of progress towards the prize line in it.
