So in the real world you do nothing because all those really rich people had the big advantage? They already own several homes millions in the bank, and top college degrees when you were born.. So why even try? that seems to be what the gripe is.. LOL
Nothing in life is a 'level playing field'. that notion is for socialist dreamers. (pretty much proven to not work out either in Socialist or communist forms**.! So get over it.
Do what you can do, compare your performance to others like yorself. instead of whining incessantly about how unfair life is.

** China is a little different since they actually use Capitalist ideas with a socialist overlay even though they call themselves communists, they are no longer actually communists lol

A level playing field is often something sought out in games - such that ability determines winner over a handicap. They do not need to mirror life.

F2P games are another matter - letting people P2W is usually the business model.

But part of the charm of a new world is doing without things that we take for granted on our older cities for a period of time - and the faster someone races ahead and unlocks them, the faster that experience gets shattered.

I don't want an arc too on the new world (usually), i want a world without arcs for a month or two (or well I'd take forever too!).

People come at their desire for this experience from different angles - restricting spending, restricting construction of GBs, timegating availability of ages, reducing power of GBs - but the point is to get a *world* (i.e. not just your own city running a personal challenge) that feels different.

None of this is anything inno has ever shown any openness too though - used to be on DNSLs. So it's just wishful discussion :)

I never realized the world announcement was posted on my birthday lol.

Almost 6 months later and I have to say it's been a fun world but I do wish it were bigger. Inno needs to do less to drive players away, and more to bring them in.

As for catching up to the big spenders, that's going well. At start of Forge Bowl I was rank 110s then lots of playing until now has gotten me to 56. I look at players 5 ranks above/below me and virtually all of them have 4 times as many event buildings so I'm really proud and looking forward to moving up more.

Arc almost 80, that will help a lot.
