Feedback for the Space Hub: A New Galactic Era

it's kind of dumb to release on a Tuesday.

Historically it's been Thursday morning, which has let us hold everyone back until after GBG starts so that we get a full season of the treasury getting filled

Actually, new eras haven't been released on Thursday since SAV. SAJM and SAT were both on Tuesday (Monday on the German server iirc)

You must not have clicked on "Open" then. Because, if you had, you would have landed on the news page that I posted above. It clearly says that SASH will be released on the 8th. I don't find it a bit misleading. :p

Of course you don't ;)

But the headline is certainly misleading and baity. Even if the story clarifies it :p They could've said "soon!", but the headline is "now!".

It's been before the thursday each time (i'm not 100% on always-tuesday - but certainly it's never been on a convenient day when you're already locked in on the goods needed for two weeks).

A paranoid person might think it's specifically *so* you struggle to hold everyone back and when the season starts perhaps some of you burn some diamonds fixing the mess created by your guildmates jumping immediately.

Looking up previous Space ages:

Mars - May 28th 2019 - Tuesday

Asteroid Belt - April 23rd 2020 - Thursday

Venus - April 15th 2021 - Thursday again

Jupiter - April 25th 2022 - Monday

Titan - July 10th 2023 - Monday again

Hub - Oct 8th 2024 - back to Tuesday

I haven’t checked prior to that. But certainly since Space started it has been not-Thursday more times than it has been Thursday

It’ll be interesting to see next year when the new Age gets released

For my (several Worlds) Guilds the main issue is "do we move up on Tuesday? or wait until after GbG opens Thursday?"
This is really a very important issue.
If the Guild decides to wait, and just one person in the Guild move up earlier than after GbG opens, That means GbG will include needing Goods from SASH right from the start. Screwing the Guild's ability to place buildings in GbG.
If they decide to start Tuesday, will they have enough Treasury Goods to cope by Thursday?

I've been in a top Guild that told all members no moving up until after GbG. If you do move up early, you will be booted from Guild before GbG starts (and can return later)
And another top Guild that asked all to move up immediately to get some Goods into Treasury to cope.
Both worked just fine.
The problem is when only a few. or one moves up early.. etc. So Guilds need to be a team and decide as a team what course of action they will follow... and stick to the plan.

As for Expansions. I an maxxed out and can easily see plenty of additional openings for the new Expansions. So that is a total non-issue.

The two new GBs are interesting. Sad they did not add the Red Blue Galaxy type GB.
And I'm sad they have never added a troop like Hover was to Future (again more mediocre troops). It would make everyone really happy and excited about the game again to have nice powerful troop.

It's not that big a problem if you tell people not to move up but 1 or 2 does. Most of the rest do right after it starts, and only a few sectors will need the new goods. So once the rest get their collections in you're probably fine.

Though now there is a chance that one of the sectors that needs new goods is your expensive HQ building. But outside of that you also have alternatives where new goods won't work so well anymore - so combined with them being less likely if only 1 or 2 people moved up, it's probably only the HQ you need worry about.

Last time an era came out, 2500 guild goods was good

now many people make over 8000

so probably no big deal
Finish rushes are also much more prominent now - last new era they were pretty new and only a few people might've had a significant amount. Now a lot of people will have them and be able to pump something that makes goods and donate the one good you're short or something. Plus the buildings to pump are way bigger piles.

When I moved up on beta I used FASPs to produce a lot of SASH goods to complete the first 15 techs. It also put over 10000 of each SASH good in the Treasury. It wasn't needed, but I could have done more as I only used up half my FASPs. I also could have donated goods, but again it wasn't needed.
