If you're talking about the countdown until a lock expires, don't you have a phone? I mean, seriously, set an alarm yourself. Don't ask Inno to do it for you. It may seem simple to you for them to add it, but believe me, they have a history of screwing up things with "simple" fixes. Not to mention that they would have to add toggles so players could turn the alarms on and off. And that's not even getting into the fact that there may be multiple locks on the same map expiring at different times. Just use your phone alarm function. You can set as many alarms as you want for whatever times you need. Easy peasy. I'm a retired senior and even I know how to do that.

While I am not sure there are people that are sitting and watching for hours and minutes of a cool down there is some solutions to what you are requesting.
Timer bot is a Discord bot that allows you to create a plethora of features. Such as the following:
Create timers with precise countdowns to the hour, minute and second desired
Set times for specific dates and times in your local time zone
Make reminders
Add titles and descriptions to alarms to be updated/notified on upcoming events, goals, etc
Save presets
Save timer configurations with custom names for quick access anytime
View active events and manage all running timers and reminders in one place
There is also the Apollo bot and the Message Scheduler bot as well. You can add these bots to your Discord server as well as add the official Forge of Empires bot to be updated immediately on release for events and other news from the team directly.
If you do not want the technicality of this, you can do split screen on your PC and set timers that way using one monitor. I understand the majority play on mobile so this might not appeal to you.
There is also a timer on the top left hand corner to tell you when the event in its entirety ends. Usually when it begins along with other things of this nature or if any changes are made you'll see an ! mark hovered above the access, but it may not be true for everything.
I apologize for the delay. I tried getting back to your earlier, but the forums kept erroring out on me. I fixed it, however so hopefully going forward I do not have any more issues.

If a timer is all you are looking for, just use a browser timer or a timer on your mobile device. If using browser, the FOE Helper has a GBG timer built in that alerts you 30 seconds before the province opens. I wish it were a little longer or even adjustable, but 30 seconds is usually long enough to get there in time.
