Guild Expedition- 4th Difficulty

DeletedUser14228

The bottom line is that this created nothing but confusion to many players and it still does. Like some have mentioned 100% is not a subject number. It is an ABSOLUTE that cannot be altered or changed just because somebody thinks it should be or somebody doesn't want to hurt somebody's feelings. The argument presented in a previous post comparing this to a return on investments or a percentage of recommended daily values on a vitamin bottle is a logical fallacy and misses the point entirely. That's trying to say that a variable is the same as an absolute which is comparing apples to oranges.

No matter how anybody tries to twist and rationalize things here is a fact. You either accept or or you don't:

FINISHING 64 OF 64 ENCOUNTERS IS 100% COMPLETION. FINISHING 48 OF 64 ENCOUNTERS IS 75%.

Sorry folks but this is objective reality. It cannot be changed by flawed thinking.

Unless you look at it as...
48 is completion.
64 is completion with extra credit.

48 is not completion. 64 is completion. There is no "how you look at it." There are 4 levels. You either complete them all or you don't. The 4th level is not separated from the other 3 so how can it be "extra credit" ??

I have gone threw to level 4 in three of the 3 worlds I have and hate the level 4, to go threw and only get ancient gates (Decos) is infuriating, for the cost of level 4 goods etc. from our guild vs the number of players going threw level 4 it's a joke not worth the effort, Inno Games has messed up and it wants us to pay for it in diamonds, i a;so don't appreciate how they added achievements and messed with the profiles, not good :(

You know just as well as I do that had inno made the change to include level 4 as part of the 100% we would all be here complaining how hard lvl 4 is and that it shouldn't be included in the race for ge. I usually can't stand what changes inno throws at us but this one appears to me that they are thinking of the smaller players here who can't do level 4. So I must disagree with those of you who think 100% should include level 4. Level 4 was always marketed as and planned to be a extra hard bonus round for those of us who wanted to give it a go and who could do it. I think its to hard for the rewards we get and don't even do it anymore. Add the fact they still haven't given us a attack defense gb or way to easily boost our attack defence to match the 1st wave boosts let alone do it twice its highly rigged against us.

Thats just my opinion for what its worth, but I can see where everyone is coming from. Maybe they shouldn't have included lvl 4 as any % but tbh I like it as it gives the higher players a chance to make up for those in the guild who don't fight and don't do gvg.

Their excuse was that not everyone will be able to participate (or even afford GE4 despite many people's complaints to have it unlocked on an individual basis). So 100% is the status quo where 133% makes you look prestigious and over achieve.
It does make it harder for low age players, low level guilds, and players with low level GBs to compete. The ability to complete all 48 encounters was already lopsided using only number of guild members. Now it's even more lopsided. The rich get richer, and the poor stay poor...LOL

DeletedUser28677

GE4 rewards need rebalancing:

Indy level rewards, spend ~80 goods to get 30 goods or 60000 gold? doesn't add up.

Also getting more attempts as a reward in level 4 is infuriating. These encounters are of significant cost and difficulty, I don't need to advance through them faster. I need payback.

Rewards seem to level out if you complete tiers, but that isn't much incentive for each encounter.

I negotiated level 4 again but this week I took it slower so I could record my results and I have to say for as bad as I thought it was I am now ASTOUNDED by how bad it is. Please note I play in LMA so you could expect your medal cost to be higher but your medal payouts higher as well so this should relatively reflect other eras as well with the exception of AF as I know nothing of this promethium you all speak of.

The only rewards that are of any use to me are the FPs and the medals. The fps are a decent amount but no where near relative to the cost. The medals for me is about what I get in a day or two of GB contributions kicking in. Almost 1,000 goods with 6 goods buildings running @ 8hr productions is 133 hours worth of goods or 5.5 days not including GBs or any time waiting on trades. This is JUST for level 4. Also I do not have to refine my goods, I have it lucky.

For me it has been either 5 or 6 weeks of not getting FPs in relics anymore. Nor has anyone in my guild or any friend I have spoken to in game. I have only heard about it on here. I have loads of these completely useless decos I will never use. Decos and BPs were the number 1 complaint and instead of listening they actually made the decos worse and now give you them twice as often.

I am 100% all for a super hard, super good hungry level you need to seriously prep to compete in but the rewards need to match and exceed the cost. Why do it otherwise? All this is not to mention the cost to the guild to open it in the first place when it barely helps the guild at all. Insanity. This is like if in a war the country that 'won' depleted all it's resources and troops and gained nothing. It's not winning if you spend A THOUSAND GOODS for nothing. Not a single GB is even close to 1,000 goods. If you went to the casino with $1,000 and left with a souvenir glass that said I went to the casino you did not win at the casino.

One of the most angering parts of this is unlike the CVs or the railguns they won't admit that ToR is now a nerfed building and it makes me quite angry. ToR is useless because the devs want to make ugly buildings no one wants. Nobody built or leveled their ToR to get this junk no one wants it and they act like they're doing us a favor with this crap.

GE was really great. It's what made me change from 'Oh what's that game I downloaded on my phone? I should check that." To playing daily, finding a good guild, spending time and money on this game. ToR was the icing on the cake that for me turned the game into 'Yeah I'll put dinner on in a sec, there's a gold up ahead!' I'm not saying I'm going to stop playing but my interest is diminishing. I have guild obligations and will continue to do level 3, but now the game is beginning to feel like a chore because with this and the really greedy carnival event there's really not much to be excited about. Sure you can skip the events when they're crappy, or GE now that it's crappy... but then why play?

I'm going to repost this in the other thread as well since the two subjects overlap and I'm not really quite sure why we have two topics for the same issue.

Well nominally the other thread is supposed to be about the new rewards, not about the 4th level.

Is that thread intended just for the new buildings or as feedback on the reward (encounter & ToR) restructuring?

If it's the former then my apologies for posting off topic in a thread that was meant for discussion on buildings alone. I thought it was for feedback for the new GE reward system which would go more hand in hand with this thread. *Cue Married with Children's 'Can't have one without the other' part of it's theme song.

Not diamonds? I play level 4 almost exclusively for fps, diamonds and a couple of items that I value. Losing unattached troops medals and goods has to be relative. For example I'm willing to lose say 5 goods per fp or 25 goods per diamond gained in level 4.

Personally for me no, not diamonds. My overall diamond take in lvl 4 was around 70, the amount is too low to really make much of a difference to my game. I currently have all of the diamond expansions I am allowed to have given my era (2 per era) The only things (excluding events) I've spent diamonds on were expansions, a few missing bps I was too impatient to keep trying for, open rogue/champ slots and GE. GE I will spend the 10 for the extra turn since usually in GE I know I will gain a bit if not split even so to me it doesn't count as spending them. Diamonds are certainly nice don't get me wrong, but when you've run out of useful things to spend them on they don't really do you much good. (Until the next event rolls around)

Level 4 is a personal choice to do, some like it and some don't like it, like most things I guess. Almost all our members have completed level 4 this week and the few that haven't are still building up their fighting capabilities but will get there.

The rewards are good in my opinion, diamonds and FPs are readily available, terrace farm at the end battle of which I have some and they pay out 5 FPs each per day. There is also the added chance of relics like any other level and I hit the 100 FP relic on level 4 this week, along with a 20 FP relic as well so luck was with me. Finally the extra guild power obtained always helps too.

So love it or hate it I reckon it is here to stay and personally as a fighter I love it :)

What's more, there will normally be only two possible rewards, so the chance is 50/50. Therefore the chance of getting the reward you're looking for is much higher.

So... I was thinking about this.

Which of these two rewards for encounter #52 am I supposedly looking for?

I ask because it's not at all obvious. Face of the ancient is completely worthless, and "3 blueprints" almost equally terrible.

Face of the Ancients is marginally better.
At least you can possibly use it.

Both are poor-quality non-rewards.
In cases like this... where it's poo on one hand, poo on the other...

Give 20 Forge Points instead.

Or at least ten.

I just looked back at my notes for the prizes for each level 4 battle and battles 52 and 60 offer the worst rewards, the rest in my opinion are good. I would take the BPs in this situation if given the choice but we don't have the choice so I go with what I get :)
