[Answered] Horsies In Swamps

DeletedUser

When I was battling a province with my horsie, he suddenly was not able to move forward. It seems that for whatever reason, he was not able to move onto or past any swamp tiles. Is this a bug or is it a part of the game?

This is part of the game, and above is a rare instance where horses are actually not able to reach the opponent because the map is cluttered with swamps and a mountain in the middle. You'll have to lure the 2 spearmen on your side of the map. Would be interesting to see what would happen if the opponent also has only horses

At the very top of the map there were no swamps :p

Different units have different terrain weaknesses that they have trouble traversing. Also, a small tip: don't use cavalry, at least in the bronze age.

hmm... Does anyone have a list of the effects that terrain will have on different units?

Apart from what I listed in my military guide, there's not much info available. I might add the fact to the guide that swamps slow down most, if not all troops.
