[Question] How can I get stone/marble shops?

I have a territory that says stone and another that says marble can be produced there and yet building either is not on my building options and I am well into the iron age. what have I missed? I apologize if this is a dumb question or I missed seeing it answered somewhere else.

You need to unlock the corresponding researches on the tech tree to have the ability to place the goods buildings, but if you're well into the Iron Age, you should already have done so. You can access them through the building menu, by choosing the tab with the 3 stones. :)

Within that tab you want the marble mason and the stone mason buildings.

Note that the territories themselves don't allow you to produce any goods, you need the technology. For stone and marble you need the bronze age technology called "Stonework", and, it is technically possible to get through the bronze age and into the iron age without ever having unlocked Stonework. What the terrories, or provinces do, if you conquer them and they talk about goods, is they give you a goods deposit. This means that when you do produce the type of good that that goods deposit is for you can make 5 times as much of that good in the same amount of time and for the same cost as the normal amount of other goods of that age.

Hi. I want to make marble but when I press the build button, it gives me a message that says "No Matching Goods Deposit". Does this mean I shouldn't get it until I find a continent that has this? Can I still get this? Should I get this now?Can someone help me with this? Thx.

This means that you will not produce as many goods from that building. If you have the corresponding goods deposit on the continental map, then you will produce more goods. Otherwise, you can just use that building for goods but note that it will be significantly less. I don't know 100% if this is true, but I do not have all of the goods deposits from previous ages

That is correct. If you do not have the deposit you will produce less of the goods. So you can still build the goods building. And you will not find all the deposits for all the goods on the map. It randomly only lets you get 2 deposits of the 5 goods deposits available.

The two responses above are correct. The best way to get the goods you do not have deposits for is to use the Market feature and trade other Goods you can make well
The Market works best of you have a lot of players as Friends who are in your own age or the next age up
