[Question] How long to keep Bronze/Iron Age goods buildings?

DeletedUser24726

I'm at Colonial Age, soon to be Industrial, and I'm wondering how much longer I should hold on to my Bronze and Iron Age goods buildings (I currently have one of each). There doesn't seem to be much call for these goods anymore either in research or negotiations (in the rare instance I use it), and I have all Bronze/Iron goods in the 500-700 range. I do use them to help my Guildmates with trades, but the buildings take up significant space.

Do low-Age goods remain useful/necessary at higher Ages? Obviously, I can use trade-downs to replenish lower Age goods if need be, but I'm just trying to get a sense of the best balance to strike. Thanks.

I get rid of them as soon as I can. Reason why I do is because you can trade down with current goods, for goods of past eras.

The best balance is current. I live by my advise. If you happen to be on Rugnir, you can see my city and what I'm talking about.

Bronze Age goods are useful as a trade medium when you're trading forge points on someone else's GB for goods, as they're cheap to make. For example say I'd made a deal with someone to give them 100 FP on their GB in exchange for 300 PE goods. I would trade 150 BA goods with them for those PE goods, and then trade more BA goods to get that 150 back at a 1:2 rate. Only for this reason (or helping out guildmates) would you want to keep one or more of them. I ran 1 BA goods building in most of my cities until LMA, when I had a surplus of 2k for this purpose.
