[Internal Error Collection Thread]

"Never", because it's not one error, it's shorthand for a whole range of client-server miscommunication errors. This is what is making solving what we are experiencing so difficult - the error is not descriptive, it is likely being caused by more than one thing, and none of them /reliably/ do so, so it can't be isolated. We had gotten the occasional JSON error before our epidemic, and once it has abated we will still get the occasional error. There really can't be any estimate of when the epidemic will be over until it is.

The game keeps telling me that I need to activate my email address in order to message people and build buildings even though I already have done this

and you followed the link in the email message the game sent you to "confirm" you account?

These JSON errors are getting ridiculous. Please, Please, Please fix your damn servers or delete my account!!!!!!!

I'm getting an internal error when I try to scout West Nagach on Fel. Very frustrating as this will limit my ability to move forward in the game.

This is the message I sent in the support ticket: "Yesterday I was scouting a territory in the new world and I checked on it this morning expecting it to be finished and found myself on the old world map. I clicked the boat and the world map popped up and I clicked that and went to the new world and found that the territory (one of the second ones; I already conquered the first territory) hasn't been scouted at all. So I clicked on the coins tab to start scouting it again and I get a message of an internal error and the game refreshed. It didn't say JSON but it acts the same way."

I sent the ticket in eight and a half hours ago and have not received a reply. I wouldn't normally post in the forum about it but I've already lost two days because the glitch wiped out my scouting mission and it will take another day and a half to do the scouting over again once the problem is fixed.


EDIT: finally got an answer from a moderator:

"Hello dreadstar,

Thank you for reporting this potential issue to us dreadstar. I apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused and will pass this on to the developers of the game"

In other words, I'm screwed. If I can't advance on the map there's no sense in continuing to play this game.

Yes, I've had exactly the same experience. Initiated scouting a territory in new world, and found this morning that it had not been scouted! Now although I can click to scout it again (or any other territory in new world), as soon as I do that, I get the "internal error" message and the page resets. Bummer. I hope you fix this quickly!

We now know what this problem is and can fix it, but only on an individual basis. If you have the problem where trying to scout returns an internal error, please file a ticket with support and one of the ingame staff will fix it for you.

Click the "Ingame Support" button at the top of any forum page, or right click anywhere on the game and select "Contact Support".

The problem with my map was fixed shortly after posting my message. My thanks to the mods and I apologize for being so grouchy.

Right-click on your game screen and go to "contact support" Make sure to let them know exactly which province you're trying to scout when this happens, and someone should be able to fix this for you.

All is well for now.
I wonder what it was all about?!?!

I can't get to the America's. Yesterday I clicked on search new territory. This AM I went back to main world and took Tarmelmann. Now I can't get back into America. And it wants me to start the search again. Which takes more than a day......Help!!!!
