Is goods trading dead?

On some of my worlds/ I have to repost my trades 2 or 3 times to get them filled. I've offered my trades to Guildies, Friends, and Neighbors. Am I offering the wrong good, am I asking for the wrong good, or is everybody done with trading and making their own?

Little bit from column A (trading has been dead for years compared to initially)

Little bit from column B (there's still some trades people would be desperate to make - you have to find the right people and make the right offers). i.e. finding a camper who wants to build and level a SAT/SASH GB and they'll need a steady source of goods. But you also have to be asking for something they can actually pay you (i.e. if you're just posting SASH/SAT for SAJM trades that's not going to sell to a VF camper)

There is an old saying I composed years ago to help understand certain financial/market issues. I coined the term "Supply And Demand". Shortened to SAD for those who are on the wrong end.

Unfortunately, INNO subscribes to a more Socialistic mindset (they are after all a European group), and sort of flooded the market through their EB's and other buildings and sources. Therefore, Supply is high, but Demand is low, save for a few pockets here and there. So, trading is not all that necessary, since Goods are so easily attainable by other means.

Options: Find a better guild who leans more towards assisting members with needs. Find others who deal in Goods regularly. They exist in every world. You can ask in the dreaded and mostly vile Global Chat. Maybe a dealer will be lurking or someone there knows a dealer and can get you in contact with them. Plant (if you have not already) and level up a CF and RQ the crud out of it. That is if you are seeking current age Goods. I mean, you can do it anyway, so you have more current age Goods in stock to make those trades you ae looking to make. Offer the best trade rate allowable in the game, even if that means you overpay. Watch the market for trades in reverse that will give you the Goods you so desire. Offer FP's if desperate enough and unsuccessful with other avenues.

There are many other ways to get the goods you are looking for. You just need to show a little ingenuity.

A couple of things I found useful.

a) If someone takes your trades send them a friend request. Over time your friends list will become populated with friends in many different ages, who are available no matter what the next neighborhood rotation brings.

b) Trades always move quicker during an event. About the same time your getting those "Collect XXX amount of Goods" questlines so is everyone else in your world. Balance your stock goods at these times but above all, - keep something, anything, up for trade during an event.
