I m pretty new to this game, been playing for a week or so.
i believe its time for me to join a guild, looking for a relaxed group of people which i can join to chat and trade,

i m currently ranked 3800th and have 2.608 points

A lot of Guild founders aren't in the forums so you might want to send the ones that are recruiting a message asking for an invite. Works pretty well I believe.

As kirk55 said, you do increase your chances of finding a guild by messaging one of them. There are several guilds actively seeking members if you glance through the forum. Those that post they are recruiting may just look at their thread. Hope you find a guild that works for you.
