[Question] Military strategy for conquering the Future continent

DeletedUser14213

In answer to your original question, I found TE units to be effective through the first 10 provinces. I used either combat drones or blasters depending on the opposing troops. Switched to hovers and rail guns for the last 2 provinces.

macsracs, did you notice any change to the AI in the final two provinces? At the end of PME one of the provinces used the GvG AI that targets Rogues first -- it came in handy.

I have just started the ninth province (Botuku) and am glad I have Rail Guns now, and that Rail Guns are finally ignoring reactive armor!

Yeah, I've got rail guns now too, and they are nice. Used 4 RG/4 hover on some of the sectors of the 9th province, it was quite effective.

I did 4 RG/4H in the eight province, so I planned to try that once the 9th finishes scouting. I did sometimes use Champions to some effect, in place of Hover Tanks, when for example there were lots of Exoskeletons to deal with. I have not been using Combat Drones at all, but maybe I should.

Combat drones have still been proving effective - I used them in all 4 sectors of the 10th province that I didn't negotiate for the winter quest, averaging only ~2 units killed per sector.

I conquered the 10th (Kalabuye) and 11th (Bisoraba) provinces with either 4 Rail Guns and 4 Hovers Tanks or 8 Champions in each sector. I didn’t bother with Rogues or Combat Drones. I took a fair amount of damage but was not in danger of losing any sectors.

I am curious to see how hard the final sector goes. Was anybody able to beat it without having to negotiate any sectors? I won't have the 12th province scouted until late Wednesday, so I have time to build some units.

I just entered future era and picked up a satellite uplink center in the event. Are those units worth using in the first few provinces? My bonus should be 77/69.

I doubt that you will find them very helpful on the map. But if you get attacked in the hood by all rail gun armies, it would be interesting to see how they do on defense.

I did it when there was the Rail Gun bug, so using 1 hover tank + 7 rogues did it for me, but now I don't think it would be as effective.

Thanks. I'm the only one in my hood in future (last I checked) so I guess I'll have to beat up on a couple of hoodies with these guys once I unlock the tower. :)

I’m hoping to conquer these with my meager 74/60 boost rather than spend any goods. I’m all ears as far as any attack strategy advice, what worked well for others, what didn’t work, etc.

I've actually found satellite spotters to work OK in the first couple of provinces. But rail guns are a killer, one-shotting my stealth tanks if I'm not careful (and sometimes even if I am).

Sector 1 worked just fine with 4 Rail Guns and 4 Hover Tanks. Took some damage. With patience I might be able to get the other 14 sectors with that combo.

Sectors 2 through 8 all fell to an attack of 4 Rail Guns and 4 Hover Tanks. The damage was pretty heavy but I was never in danger of losing a battle. As long as this keeps working, I'm going to do the same for sectors 9 through 15. Training some units now...

My 74/60 boost was no problem at all. I easily won all sectors of the final province with 4 Rail Guns and 4 Hover Tanks attaching east. No negotiations necessary. This seemed easier than the last few continents...

I'm only a couple sector in, but I think I agree. It looks like 4 ht/4 rg will do nicely for all of them, even if there is some heavy damage. Given that I negotiated a good portion of the last TE province from frustration, and used TE units to get the last CE province, I'd say this is a bit easier than the last couple.

In Tomorrow and going through the FE map.

1. Took out the first 4 provinces using 8 Strike Teams (A/D = 100/81) and loosing 4 to 5 every battle.

2. Things got complicated with the appearance of Hover thank, so i started using 3 Ultra AP and 5 Microwave blasters.
  • The UAP always strike first and kill at least one of the unit and wounds another one.
  • Then the Microwave Blasters jump in and fire at the Hover or Stealth tanks (Microwave ignores stealth) and they always hit something because of their great range
