I didn't. I tried reporting as a bug it to ingame support, and they told me to put it in as a proposal, like it's a feature, rather than a bug/oversight. Sort of gave up after that.
As before, still disagree with you. I don't think you're being objective about it. I fight through all 4 levels every week and use Mantas in 5 battles across level 3 and 4. By that metric, and this is repeating myself, it makes Mantas more useful than Crabs, Subs, and the Nautilus. Turtles still make up the majority of battle usage in OF, being used more often than every other unit combined. If you'd like, I can just copy/paste my notes I took straight into a forum post so you can see exactly what I used for each battle when I fought through it. In fact:
Anyone who's experienced with battling should be able to tell what the letters stand for. Anyway, I think if a unit is strong enough to be viable for battle in level 4, it's not a 'bad' unit. I maintain that you're not really giving them a chance and only want to keep repeating that they're bad for no reason other than you want to say it.

Oh that is a helpful reference, you should clean it up, by that I mean make it a bit more detailed and with less abbreviations, and do a GE Battle guide with all the encounters.
Like I said in the spoiler, it's not really written out well since they were just notes for personal use that I can reference in the weeks going forward instead of having to think about what I used in each battle every single week (bad memory!). But I figured it was necessary to at least provide some 'proof' that every unit in OF has its uses. Even the relatively useless Crab has a chance to shine in #54, and that's arguably the most difficult encounter to fight through. #57 is close, but having the two waves swapped vs #54 actually makes it much easier.
That being said, my notes do kind of make it look simpler than it may actually be sometimes. For instance, these were written down before OF4 was released, so the Nautilus was not present in enemy lineups. You can sometimes get away with using Turtles against Subs, but the Nautilus is a good bit more mobile (and can cross water) meaning they're much more likely to be able to hit you first turn, and that's a death sentence on level 4 (especially battle #59). This also means the Kraken wasn't a factor either, and that one can make your life much easier fighting through level 4 as well. But on the whole, level 4 is pretty reset-heavy looking for the right terrain so things like Subs and Nautilus don't hit me turn 1 and/or Eels don't make it into bushes against my Turtles, or when I'm using Mantas looking for a few Contact hits against Eels.
