Point taken. I never intended to appear disrespectful about how the game is set up . The game itself is well liked, both by myself as well as all the players who have been playing the game for great lengths of time, from continent to continent. I merely don't like a bully. I will learn a strategy , in time, like everyone else does.

Just curious, have you assigned any troops to guarding the city? If you haven't, the game just picks three to defend. Can still use these troops for combat--just remember to replace them.

Two things...
This thread is about 2 and a half years old.
The game does not pick three to defend. You are assigned 2 Spearfighers and that's it.
