Actually, I reviewed what Obama succeeded in doing while in office. Despite suffering with a desperate GOP that tried to regain their credibility (and instead succeeded in getting usurped by corporate puppets posing as tea party republicans), he accomplished a helluva lot. I posed a list on another forum, will attempt to find it and repost here.

Point being, Obama and his cabinet have accomplished much, despite (or perhaps because of) the painful compromises he has had to make with the GOP and sometimes his own party. The problem comes about with the propaganda attempting to paint him as not getting anything done and the democrat party not bothering to correct those fabrications.

I'm not going to be responsible for voting either of these idiots in. One is a mormon who doesn't believe in aspirin. The other is just a moron. I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled back out the "I killed Bin Laden" card.

Wish they would actually give us an option for president.

The Republican party (or at least right-wing commentators, among others) seems to do this on a daily basis, so maybe it wasn't the best use of time for the democrats to try and stop it? Especially when the right can spew so much BS...

Also, as for the list of accomplishments, there is a good chunk of them in his newest (not so new now) campaign commercial.

The other is just a moron.

I suppose you can at least tell us why you think he's a moron.

still waiting for that Senate budget........anyone seen it? I have been looking for it to at least go to the floor....so far it hasn't made an appearance.....

yeah you guys are right. It is allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the republicans fault. The senate bill was drafted by a democrat, and it sucks so bad they wont floor it......

I suppose you can at least tell us why you think he's a moron.

Sure, I'll give you several reasons...

First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, then deny he was a foreigner.
First President to have a social security number from a state he has never lived in.
First President to preside over a cut to the credit-rating of the United State.
First President to violate the War Powers Act.
First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
First President to defy a Federal Judge's court order to cease implementing the Health Care Reform Law.
First President to require all Americans to purchase a product from a third party.
First President to spend a trillion dollars on 'shovel-ready' jobs when there was no such thing as 'shovel-ready' jobs.
First President to abrogate bankruptcy law to turn over control of companies to his union supporters.
First President to by-pass Congress and implement the Dream Act through executive fiat.
First President to order a secret amnesty program that stopped the deportation of illegal immigrants across the U.S., including those with criminal convictions.
First President to demand a company hand-over $20 billion to one of his political appointees.
First President to terminate America 's ability to put a man in space.
First President to have a law signed by an auto-pen without being present.
First President to arbitrarily declare an existing law unconstitutional and refuse to enforce it.
First President to threaten insurance companies if they publicly spoke-out on the reasons for their rate increases.
First President to tell a major manufacturing company n which state it is allowed to locate a factory.
First President to file lawsuits against the states he swore an oath to protect (AZ, WI, OH, IN).
First President to withdraw an existing coal permit that had been properly issued years ago.
First President to fire an inspector general of Ameri-Corps for catching one of his friends in a corruption case.
First President to appoint 45 czars to replace elected officials his office.
First President to golf 73 separate times in his first two and a half years in office, 90 to date.
First President to hide his medical, educational, and travel records.
First President to win a Nobel Peace Prize for doing NOTHING to earn it.
First President to go on multiple global 'apology tours'.
First President to go on 17 lavish vacations, including date nights and Wednesday evening White House parties for his friends paid for by the taxpayer.
First President to have 22 personal servants (taxpayer funded) for his wife.
First President to keep a dog trainer on retainer for $102,000 a year at taxpayer expense.
First President to repeat the Holy Qur'an tells us the early morning call of the Azan (Islamic call to worship) is the most beautiful sound on earth.
First President to take a 17 day vacation.

The only reason he got voted in is because of the "First Black President" card. The only reason he would get re-elected is to keep Romney out of office. I really don't like the idea of a Mormon running the country. Mormons believe that the body is a temple and should be respected. Even MY body which is NONE of their business. What gives a small, rich percentage of men and women the right to tell me what I can and can't do to my own body?

Matter of fact, I don't want anyone who brings up religion at all in office. Why would I want anyone running a country I live in that believes in an invisible man much less a religion that tries to force itself on people. (i.e.) the "I'm a Mormon" commercials, probably paid for by Mitt himself.

Um, who said that, exactly?

I'll be voting for Obama but only as the lesser evil. He's accomplished more than people give him credit for and in the face of a lot of opposition, but he didn't follow through on some important promises and did some things that, to put it very mildly, I decidedly disagree with. I'm not going to elaborating on this.

He's not a socialist. If he was a socialist, I'd be happy to vote for him, but he's not. He's much closer to the center than that. Anyone who calls him a socialist either hasn't been paying attention to what he says and does, or doesn't know what socialism is. Simply being left of center does not make one a socialist, but that's what a lot of people in America seem to think it means, along with "spawn of Satan" or something, judging by the way people use the word... One guy in a college class asserted that the society portrayed in The Giver was a perfect example of pure socialism. I was like, "Uh, no. I'm a socialist, thanks, and I'd appreciate it if you'd learn what that means before demonizing me." But I digress.

Most of how I feel on the matter has been said. Knowing my political alignment, y'all can probably guess which posts I'm inclined to agree with. Unless of course you're one of those people that don't know what socialism is, I guess.

I am not sure what I can add to Cats, I think he cleared it up for me :p

Actually no he can't, as he copy/pasted an email gone viral that is based almost entirely on fabrications, some of which are debunked in topic address at Factcheck.org ---> http://www.factcheck.org/hot-topics/

Sorry Cat, you fell for the propaganda, the now popular smear campaign that has demonstrated itself so prominently since a Black man became a candidate for President. May I recommend you verify before repeating false statements.

Considering your link had nothing to do with the statements Cat made, at least not directly, I decided to hunt down the answers to the actual email. And while many of them have been debunked, a few of them have been proven truthful, and many of them are under investigation and finally, some of them are truth but being disputed. All that means is some minor technicality is being cited on the actual even, however it is not false.

Let me add, I take things like this with a grain of salt and my voting is not based on things I have not researched myself. I am pretty sure there is a similar email floating around about Romney.

Its cool man.. I have more though.. Its a page called 218 reasons not to vote for Obama..

http://www.postlibertarian.com/2012/03/218-reasons-not-to-vote-for-obama/

With each reason there is a link that directs you the entire story on the subject. There area few that I don't agree with as to reasons to NOT vote for him. I just wish we would get a person genuinely wanting to change the country for the better.

Here is a few reasons not to vote for Obama.. I just happen to dislike Obama more. The only thing I hate about Romney is his religious values and how he believes nobody should be involved with anything mind or body altering including caffeine, cigs, pot, alcohol.. That's what Mormons believe in. I hate how people try to force religion on other people and think it should be outlawed.

-Announced a $60 billion sale of arms to the Saudi Arabian dictatorship, the largest arms deal in history
-Granted a waiver allowing four countries to continue receiving US military aid even though they use child soldiers
-Continuing policy of maintaining thousands of troops at over a thousand military bases around the world
-Defended the use of warrantless wiretapping
-Tried to stop the Supreme Court from hearing a challenge of warrantless wiretapping
-Unaccountable, unjustifiable drug war spending
-Heavy crackdown on medical marijuana
-Signed Trespass Bill, making it a federal offense to be “disruptive” at political events
-Pushing for creation of “Internet ID” for every American
-Signed extension of the Patriot Act with snooping provisions intact
-Invoked “government secrecy” against a lawsuit by AT&T customers “who claim federal agents illegally intercepted their phone calls”
-Wants warrantless access to cell phone location data
-Broke promise to allow five days of public comment before signing bills, repeatedly
-Broke promise to broadcast health care negotiations on C-SPAN
-Tried to force a New York Times reporter to reveal confidential sources
-Claimed the government can never be sued for surveillance that violates federal law
-Eventually released the records and claimed that release was evidence of his “transparent” government, despite the fact that he went to court to keep them secret
-Blocked Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests regarding ties with Monsanto
-Told the Air Force it was illegal for their families to read Wikileaks
-Did all of these things after promising that his administration would be “the most open and transparent in history.”

Not going to list all of them, these are just some.

caffeine, cigs, pot, alcohol.

Take religion out of the soup and those things are still horrible for your health. They are all addicting, and will and do currently pose a financial burden on the public tax payer...so being against those things isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I agree that its bad Dom but as a "free" American shouldn't I be able to decide what i can and can't do to my own body? Everyone dies of something. Just recently saw a video of a car crash, 2 - 70 year old women, sisters I believe in a car accident, decapitated. Some people die of some pretty horrible stuff.

I smoke cigs and pot, I don't drink even though alcoholics run in my family (I would if I couldn't do anything else to calm me down).. Most of the people who do unthinkable crimes don't believe in drugs either. The only real exception to a universal agreement on what drugs are OK to be ingested are cigarettes and alcohol.

I HATE alcohol and alcoholics.. They are responsible for domestic violence and reasons children are born all screwed up. I'm using alcohol because its the most widely used substance. It makes you do things you wouldn't normally do or say. Most of the time you can't even remember what you did when you were drunk.

Also.. I bet all this war and war on drugs, the national debt is costing the american tax payer a hell of a lot more than the health problems in the country. Everyone gets sick or hurt, different reasons and have to receive medical attention. All the foreign aide we are sending all over the place. The different armies that our country is funding in other countries that commit HORRIBLE atrocities every day.

Not knocking, just pointing out the irony of the comment :p

Hi Domi, actually you needed to read some of the listed hot topics (click the links within the link and read the articles) to find the debunking of the things Cat listed.

Cat, you are merely presenting more distortions from more emails gone viral. Right off the bat, the first one in the second list u posed is debunked by one of the listed Hot Topics in my earlier pink from Factcheck.

Oh and both Dom and Cat, you see --- this is how it works. Mix in one or two minor yet valid statements with a mass of outrageous fabrications. After that, don't bother to validate each and every one... rather claim "some" are correct while others are disputed and don't bother to point out which is what, leaving readers to assume most are valid (or even "some" of the outrageous ones) when almost none are, and absolutely one of the outrageous ones. That's a tactic of propagandists, and now you two are utilizing that tactic?

However, more important is that instead of posting "factual" reasons "to" vote for the Romney & Ryan GOP candidates, instead a mass of propaganda, almost all false, is used as an argument "not" to vote for their opponent.

C'mon, you two can do better than that. Bring us the facts, the evidence, the "legitimate" sources instead of emails and blogs. Kick this up a few notches.

Darn interwebz.. Hell can't you see I'm trying to get elected? Why do you keep having to tell them I'm not presenting facts? Its not fair they have the internet now... Don't you see Hell? The more lies I tell the better chance I have of getting elected. That's how the presidency works right? :p

I'm not voting for either, don't like either.. I don't want to be responsible for voting in either of them.

Its a damn shame we can't get a decent candidate. What's worse? How many people in the country and they give us these choices? I think someone should be elected who has NO background in politics WHATSOEVER! We need a president who is joe blow, just a guy who wants to fix the country.

The entire Government needs to be thrown out on their butts. The only thing they are concerned about is making the rich richer and trying to make their own pockets fatter in the process.
