Renovation / one up kit - timer

Will using renovation kit or one up kit reset the collection timer of a building?

Marharaja Palace for example?
My palace collection is in 7 hours, I’d like to upgrade it to my current age for the goods, but do not want to interrupt the current production timer.
(24hour = 5 FPs)

In my experience it does not affect the collection time.

That's interesting. I've used them on multiple different event/special buildings and never had one reset the timer. I wonder if it has to do with the levels?
