I would like to be able to do that... if only to make my city look nicer.

Minor suggestion but hey, every little helps (to make a great game).

I think the reason they don't is strategic. Take for example me, I would rather win by utilizing the ability to place more stuff in my city. Where as some people want to win by military might. By having the buildings "fixed" it ads a different level of strategy you have to use that noggin to figure out :D

I get that and i like that side of things, but being able to rotate buildings, most of which are squares, won't really affect that at all. It will just make it look prettier. :)

Building rotation will never happen. This was discussed with the devs in the early stages of the exclusive beta already, no go as it's part of the game and makes you use your brain more.

As HaekelHansi stated, the developers have stated that this will never happen. Allowing rotation of certain buildings but not others will also never happen, especially just for aesthetics.

This issue is locked for discussion.

Yeah, sorry guys. Rotating buildings defeats the purpose of having buildings with different dimensions. The challenge was posed intentionally and it is exceedingly unlikely the developers will allow building rotations.

Please note: there is a feature included that allows you to "move" your buildings around. There are also plans to include a repository where you can store some constructions.

All in the works, all in the works. Keep watching those announcements and keep bringing in the ideas. :)
