I think I found a work-around solution for selecting which currency to make purchases.
Say you are from US visiting in Europe and the server wants to charge you Euros.

You can use one of the free VPN on Chrome to set you IP as an American address and the server should try to charge you in Dollars.
Just a thought.

If you have a need to pay in a specific currency, you could try this but the system will recognize many proxies/VPNs and may not allow the payment.
