[Guide] Special Buildings

DeletedUser2145

Renovation kits are special items available only during certain events.

The Monastery always gives you +20% defense bonus for your DEFENDING army if it is connected to the Town Hall. If you have a DEFENSIVE GB (Saint Basil, Deal Castle) it will also combine with the Monastery bonuns. OFFENSIVE GBs (Zeus, Aachen, del Monte) do not mix with the Monastery bonus, the two bonuses affect two completely different parties. So, what GB are we discussing here?

Should you delete your Monastery, there's no option to retrieve it back. Even 'Support' cannot help you with that. When it comes to special event buildings, never delete anything under assumption, always make sure you have the correct info.

ETA: Bah, someone has faster fingers. :D

Added Gingerbread House and Huge Confectionary stats. Updated previous buildings to reflect which ones were offered in the Winter 2014 event. If anyone remembers whether the Champion's Retreat and Winter Market were offered and can confirm whether they were or weren't offered that'd be appreciated.

King & Queen update

A reno kit should work on the Mobilith.

I updated the thread to include the Halloween event buildings, as well as updated the whole thread to include Contemporary Era stats. However, it seems that according to my notes the Festive Tree, the Great Tree of Love, the Hall of Fame, and the Tiger's Den did not receive any increase in ranking points. It's no unusual for buildings not to get an increase in ranking points but it is unusual for those ones. Another weird thing from my notes is that it seems the Nutracker got an increase of 300 ranking points, which is also unusual. Maybe I should have had more coffee before doing this. So, if folks could double check those stats and let me know if they find out something different I'd appreciate it.

Assuming that no changes are made to these stats, and that I haven't messed up something, the thread should be up to date for a while (at least till the Xmas period).

ETA: The stats for the Halloween event buildings will be made available once the event is over.

The King and Queen info needs to be updated. I obtained mine in Late Middle Ages and receive 2,220 coins from them when not motivated. Just thought you would want to know. Thanks for a super-great informative thread, by the way!

Question in regards to special events items and upgrades: I obtained several special events buildings/items from the Christmas Event 2014 that are still in my inventory. I won/obtained them while I was in the Late Middle Ages era, but I've progressed to the Colonial Ages era after the event was finished. When I use these buildings/items will they produce output in accordance to my current era or will they still produce output from the old era I obtained them from?

I only have 2 upgrades and want to use them wisely before I decide which buildings/items to build and which ones to leave in inventory.

Thank you very much. :)

I know I got a (unconnected) Champion from the event, but I can't remember if the building was ever offered, but it probably was. I don't think the Winter Market was. I have one I think, but it was from previous events.

The buildings will stay at the age you received them, unless they age-up with your city. You'll need to upgrade them separately unless you took the age-step before the quest at which you got them as a reward.

Thank you very much for your quick response. That is exactly the information I was looking for. Not the answer I was hoping for, but at least I now know. :D

That would likely be 1.850 coin + 20% bonus for having an enthusiastic city, which sums up to 2.220 coin and seems to match your amount. :) These are completely base stats (which is why they may look rather low if no bonuses are accounted for).

Thank you for your reply. I learn something new all the time.

Informational posts like these are awesome, by the way. Thank you creators so much for all your time and effort!

Do you mean 300 forge points? Do you mean 300 points added to my reputation? Is the 300 points recurring on some basis or is it a one time deal? I need to know if it is really worth the money.

The question concerning 300 points was in response to the offer of a wishing well. The description of the wishing well said you would get 300 points and that is all it said.

Whenever it says "points" it means "ranking points", there is no other type of points in the game. All other stats have their own different name. When it's forge points it say forge points, not points.

Hah, we often call battle points just points too. And that can be confusing occasionally, but I think not in the context here.

And just to be clear: whenever you build any structure (other than a trail), it adds some points to your ranking score. When you take the building down, it take those points away. Those are the points we are talking about here. (You also get ranking points for winning battles, collecting coin, and collecting supplies.)

Was Vitruvian Man discontinued? I never received one. I registered at the end of last summer.

Yes, I'm tempted to remove him from the guide, but doesn't really feel too necessary

Can't build Caravansary from Inventiry

- - - Updated - - -

Hi -- I'm new and not a real gamer, so forgive me if this isn't the right place to ask this, but I won a caravansary in the recent casino. It's still in my inventory. I didn't have room to build it before, but now I do. My problem is that I can't build it. I select it from the inventory to build, hover it over the right space, but am not allowed to click the check mark. I've tried reinstalling the app on my iPad. Any advice?

Usually reinstalling the app does the trick. Are you sure you can place the building in that spot? Can you try placing a trail (the road that costs nothing) there to test it?

Do you have enough population? If you look at the caravansary and the population requirement is in red, that's the issue.
