Top of the mornin' to ya!

The St. Patrick's Day Event starts on February 20th and will run until March 11th, 2020.

St. Patrick's Day is almost upon us, and this year, you've received a call for help from a neighboring town. They're looking for your assistance in holding a grand festival to celebrate! Your task is to help the townsfolk prepare for the momentous occasion, and looking at it, you've got your work cut out for you! Paddy McCharms is the festival's guide, so be sure to listen to him as he shows you around town, introducing you to the townsfolk who will aid you in your quest to throw the best St. Patrick's Day festival ever! Our Game Designers Kurt and Jess introduce you to the event in another awesome video, check it out:

The St. Patrick's Day Event introduces a brand new and unique way to collect some awesome avatars, achievements and buildings as rewards, with a completely new event mechanic. Complete quests to earn Pots of Gold. There are 56 quests to complete, 35 rush quests, and then 1 quest for each day of the event. You can find even more Pots of Gold in incidents around your city and use them the main event window to prepare for the celebrations. You can also purchase additional Pots of Gold for Diamonds if you need some more. Click on the event icon in the top corner to get started!

On the left hand side of the town map in the event window you have the festival, with the town's factories located towards the center. Click on the first factory to start producing goods for use in the festival. Once the production is complete, the goods will automatically be put into containers ready for collection. Click on the ferry in the bottom left corner to send it to collect goods from the town to deliver them to the festival. Once the ferry arrives back at the festival, click on it to sell the goods to the festival, and earn yourself some Shamrocks!

Shamrocks are used to upgrade your factories, improving your output, and maximizing production. You can also upgrade your ferry, as well as the festival itself, to increase the amount of goods ferried across the river, or how quickly the festival can use the delivered goods. If you've gathered a lot of Shamrocks, and don't want to upgrade the productions incrementally, tick the 'max' button in the top left corner to upgrade them much faster! You can spend Pots of Gold to advance your productions instantly by 2, 4 or 8 hours by clicking on the stopwatch in the top left corner, a quick way to produce additional Shamrocks!

Now this is all great, but what's in it for you? As you'll see, along the top of the event window, there is a list of three tasks. Completing a task will prompt you to collect the task, which will contribute progress towards your Grand Prize. Collect 25 tasks to earn the Grand Prize reward! If you're not sure what you need to do for a task, click on the arrow on the right side of the list for a full overview. Collecting a task will replace it with a new one, allowing you to work towards more Grand Prize progress. Eventually, however, Paddy won't have any more tasks for you to complete.

Click on the 'Continue' button in the bottom right to be presented with some end of stage reward boxes. Snag yourself some fantastic prizes from each box. You can open one container for free, and more containers for Pots of Gold. These costs increase incrementally the more boxes you open using Pots of Gold Once you've collected all 6, you'll earn the collection reward on the right-hand side, and if you want, you can open a new set of 6 reward boxes before advancing to the next stage.

But micromanaging these factories isn't all you can do. Paddy has a suggestion to make your life so much easier! He'll introduce you to some fine young folk who, for a fee, will manage your factories. Click on the top hat to hire a manager for Pots of Gold. Hiring a manager automates the productions of goods, meaning you don't have to click on your factory anymore. And not only that, it will also improve the factory's output even further! Hire a Festival Manager to automatically manage the festival on your behalf, and a Shipyard Manager, to automate the shipment of goods to the festival.

And that's not all! Once you've selected your stage prizes, the progress will be reset. This gives you the chance to start the production over, and earn yourself even more Grand Prizes:

Celtic Forest

The main Grand Prize reward for the St. Patrick's Day event is the brand new Celtic Forest building set. This gorgeous set of 5 buildings with 2 levels each bring a taste of the Emerald Isle to your city. For details of the buildings, their adjacency bonuses, and their stats, check out our Wiki here.

As always, your feedback is very important for us, so don't forget to comment here!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the Objectives of the game?

Objective: Process enough Shamrocks to progress to the Next Stage. The Next Stage box current appears once you have built the Fireworks Factory. This is the only way to reach the next level.
Side Objective: Complete tasks to work towards Grand Prizes.

How to produce Shamrocks :

Use the Factories to produce Shamrocks. You need to spend Shamrocks to upgrade and unlock factories to generate more Shamrocks.
The Hat Factory has the lowest base level production and the Firework Factory the highest base-level production.
Upgrade costs are relative to the output of the factory.

You will need to employ a Manager to level 1 to automate the production of these goods. There are further upgrades to your manager to increase speed and productivity.

All upgrades are only valid for this level.

How to transport the produced goods to the Festival?

Goods are transported from the Factory Docks to the Festival Docks by Ferry. You can manage the speed and capacity of your ferry by upgrading the Shipyard and the Shipyard Manager.

How to add Shamrocks to your total collected?

These are collected and processed from the Festival Docks. You can manage the speed and capacity of the Shamrocks processed by upgrading your Festival and the Festival Manager.

All progress is reset when you reach the next level.

What happens when I move to the next stage?

You will be offered a number of boxes you can open. Opening 6 boxes provides a Selection Kit for the new Celtic Set Buildings. The first box you open is free, for the rest the cost an incremental value in Pots of Gold.
If you press continue, the set of boxes are reset for the next round and there will be a new set of six boxes once you complete the next level.

I don't have enough Pots of Gold to open six boxes each time. How do I win selection kits?

You can win Selection kits as Grand Prizes from completing tasks. The tasks are only reset when you progress to the next stage.

What does the Timeskip button do?

Using Pots of Gold, you can instantly add Shamrocks to your total without using the Factories, Ferry and Manager.

What does the Max checkbox do?

Using the Max button shows you the maximum number of levels (and cost) you can upgrade from the gathered Shamrocks, rather than upgrading one level at a time. If the Max checkbox is activated, but you don't have enough shamrocks for the upgrade, there will be a +1 and the cost for it, but greyed out, as you do not yet have enough shamrocks.
