It's slow, and takes patience and a lot of waiting. That said, the prizes for finishing event tasks are absolutely awful. A coin supply boost potion? Really?
I have seven cities. If an event is good, I buy Gold Passes for all of them. If the event is terrible, only one city gets a gold pass. For this event, I regret buying even the one Gold Pass.

its crap, right now i have to do 10 negotiations for the rival in one world,, who thought of this, i mean, right now battlegrounds are not up till thursday, but thats my opinion

well i think i found a way around 10 negotionnegotiations issue, i just did all 10 on GB at the beginning . well i hope it helps

festival Manager and shiopyard Manager to 3 everytime. Only upgrade the first 3 poridtions 1 when nessiry to a max of 3 for the first 2 and 2 for the thirds and skip the manager upgrades past 1 for the last 2. Get each production building to level 25 only raising when needed for quets exscept for the last firework prodution were you will eventualy need it to 50. The festival and shop yard manager you evenual want to get to 300 each. The main thing is yiou are trying to balance to keep the bother ques for the ship yard and festial to rarely hit 0

Have you tried higher age units with potions and Tavern boosts?
How much higher are the enemy troops? Some differences ae just not over-come-able.

Thx Dom X I am in the Mars level and have tried the same lvl as the army I am up against. Then I have armies from the next lvl and used them. They lost also. With both I used a 200% attack potion. Kind of frustrating--I see the lvl of the armies I am up against are in the 8000's I can't get my armies to that lvl

I have the same issue...the enemy army has 1500% boosts. I'm a fairly new player and only can get 400% max. Does this quest ever expire? it's basically telling me I can't have any more rival rewards anymore

Rival Quests remain until you complete them or the event ends, unfortunately.

The 1500/1500 enemy army ended the Rivals for my Diamond farms. The one where you have to use three 2 hour time skips ended it in my active worlds. I'm not using 1200 Pots of Gold to fulfill a Rival, especially when there will probably be another ridiculous task later in the event.
To me, it's not a reward if you are required to only use it to fulfill later Rival tasks. It reminds me of a certain big box home improvement store that advertises an 11% rebate on everything. Except, it's not a cash rebate, it's a mail in rebate that only gives you store credit for use on a future purchase. And there are restrictions on exactly how you have to claim the rebate. To me, that's not a rebate, it's basically a scam. They're counting on a lot of people not jumping through the hoops, and thus not getting the rebate and paying full price in the end. I shopped there once for a small item because it was convenient. I didn't send in the rebate form, because the cost of the stamp was more than the 11%. LOL

i have run into the same situation in 2 cities so far, sounds like inno rigged it discourage people, so course i have read from prominent members they have no sound advice to get past this situation, kind of sad

That's the part I don't understand about tasks like this. They used to scale by age, which would mean that new players would have tasks that (while still difficult) would be doable. Now they have these Rival tasks where it doesn't matter where you are in city development, the task demands that you have the same capabilities as someone who's been playing for years. It's ridiculous.
I don't mind the 1500% boost enemy in my Diamond farms, really, as that was my choice to stress Diamond production over military boosts. But for a new player to be locked out because of that is beyond ridiculous, and not very good planning for a game that depends on new players joining and staying to replace those who leave.

send a support a ticket about it, i told io think its a bug that needs quick fix, thou doubt it, unless they did this so inno doesnt have to come up with more rival challages, imho
