Maybe I missed it but can the Ship be motivated like the Tholos?

Is the Ghengis Khan event a repeating event? I thought it was one of the monthly events, which we had a several months ago.
The Genghis Khan Event is a Historical Questline similar to the Sacajawea Historical Questline that ran just prior to the Soccer Event. The Genghis Khan Historical Questline ran on the Beta server between the Soccer and Summer Events. It has yet to run on the Live servers.

The dates for Genghis Khan have not been announced, but with the Summer Event running through August 23rd., I would expect the Genghis Khan Historical Questline to kick off the second or third week of September.

It will be sooner than that. You are in fall event territory by then. Fall is September. Halloween October.

(aka too many freaking events nowadays!)

Bring back the darn squiggly lines on the casino wheel that indicate the prize is gone and you will get the next one instead. Not because I'm dumb and don't know what prize I will get, but it is hard to see the shaded out prize. At first, I thought there were prizes taken but realized the 'ring' was just a grey/silver once a prize was actually taken and shaded out. Anyway, I want the squiggly lines back. It is easier to see at a glance what you have going on with the wheel. It is annoying having to closely analyze it every time I open it.
I want squiggly lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why everyone thinks selection kits have anything to do with what kind of ship you are getting? LMAO

You can't upgrade because you don't have enough spare population. When you upgrade the ship, it is temporarily removed from your city, the upgrade is applied and it's dropped back in. Like any other residential building, if you don't have enough pop to support everything else, you can't delete it.
I thought they changed that in Beta so you can upgrade your ship even if you didn't have the population for it.

I finished the first 4 quests in Dursland and it just says " The Ship " which Ship IS IT ? the one that is currently on the wheel ?

All i can do is build it out but which one IS IT ?

help me out here

There is only one base ship. The seventh upgrade allows you to make it one of the three different types.

I think it is just a base ship and you can choose what to make it once you get it leveled.

So the selection kits on the wheel are the choice of another base ship, or one of the other prizes. It does not function the same way as an upgrade kit, correct?

OK I know this has been beaten to death already but I'm still completely confused about the selection kits- if they are just another base ship why then are there 3 different types : trader, royal and Pirate? From what I'm gleaning using any one of them is just going to give you a base ship at level 1 and then you don't choose which specialty the ship is until you give it it's last upgrade (which can only come from quest completion and map completion). Am I getting this correctly?

Let's say in all my worlds I'm only interested in the final Pirate option- can I still pick up a trader selection kit and use that to plop my ship down to eventual opt for it to be a pirate ship or do I need to go specifically for a pirate ship selection kit and count all the others as general FP pack hoarders?

Yes, any one of those gives you THE base ship. The differences between those packages are the other prizes you can choose if you don't choose the ship.

The sixth upgrade to THE ship is the ability to make it one of the three distinct types. Until that last upgrade, the ship is just The Ship.
