Guys, would you please sometime soon add a 30 minute and 12 hour timer on there? 8 hours is cutting it close because i'll sometimes sleep over 8 hours and when i wake up everything has fish heads above it.

The 30 minute timer would be great as well.. It would be a great option.

Do what I do. Set it for 8 hours right before you go to sleep, wake up 8 hours after and quickly collect and reorder, and then go back to sleep.

If you set up an 8 hour timer, the supplies won't spoil until 16 hours. So unless your sleeping for 16 hours, there is no point.

Pretty sure it's not double the time for spoiling.

its triple. in 45 minutes your 15 minutes supplies will spoil. everyone else should be able to do the math from there.

If that's the case, then when I set mine (shoemakers) for 8 hours last night, checked it 10 hours later, it was spoiled, so either there is a bug, or my refrigerator needs fixed.....lol

was it spoiled or raided? was it a fish or a lightening bolt? i have gone almost 20 hours after setting supplies for 8 hours and not had a problem. sometimes I hit 5 mins and I think i hit 15 mins and the stuff has spoiled ...maybe you thought you hit 8 hours and hit 5 mins?

    try it again

I'm pretty sure it's 1 hour for both 5 and 15 minutes, after the production is finished.

Yeah I think that is the case too.Not to long ago I've tested it,set production for 5 mins (was expecting that goods will spoil after 15 mins),but it took one hour for them to get rotten.

Spoiled with a fish, would be quite strange for all 6 or 7 of them to get raided with no attacks during the night that were sucessful....maybe your premium stuff operates different??? Don't know...(meaning no disrespect by your choice of play)

Glad someone is checking my facts. I tend to spout falsities till the cows come home. but they are based on truths as I believe them to be, or may have experienced somewhat in the past.

So you're saying that your supplies spoiled only two hours after production finished when it was set for 8 hours? Something's definitely up there, if what you say is correct.

No, as far as I am aware there is no premium that extends the life of all supplies; this game's premium system is pay-per-use.

In my experience the goods tend to spoil when you leave it into the "next" time slot. For example oe hour goods spoil after four, four hour goods spoil after eight, etc. They seem to be chopping and changing quite frequently though in the strive for perfection. Nevertheless, I know I have previously left eight hour goods up to almost twenty four hours without being spoiled, and the changes since haven't been too radical. Eight hour goods should, as others have said, still be fresh and ready for collection when you're done sleeping, unless you went into hibernation or something :D

Yeah, what year was it when you went to sleep? We're in 2026 now.

    spoilage

It spoils, like the man said, at 2 hours when 8 hours.
and its not tripple the time unless there's a bug. I set some for an hour, I came back 2 hours later, the fish (not lightning bolt) was dangling for me to spend diamonds to recover 36 supply (and how does IRON GOODS SPOIL?).
I then checked the 10 diamond hook and crate, believing this would hook and crane me for the next 24hours.... boy was I wrong, I blew 10 diamonds on 96 coins.... and just for that once, It collected them (from huts)
I don't think NON PERISHABLE anything should spoil. But I think this is European thinking. Here in The US we Have Preservatives on our preservatives. Iron, pottery, and bone things should remain. The only one that looses is the player, no further production. Fruits/meats/cheeses/wines can spoil. But Marble? Stone? You made everything else realistic enough, wont change rotation and demand diamonds for certain things..... This you could fix.

Don't get too caught up in the realism. Games aren't meant to be that realistic, or at least FoE isn't.

    HI,
FISH means it spoiled (went over collection time limit)
BOLT means you got attacked and plundered.
From what I am understanding here is the "collection time" is double the "production time".
    -BUT-
I set up an item for 4 hour production, came back in 5 hours, it was spoiled, so what happened?

Is there an actual manual or guide for this game or is it by "learn as you go"?

    Happy Building

There's no official guide yet, just some guides on the forum volunteers made. As far as I can tell, goods spoil after roughly 3x the time they take to produce, and the 5 minute interval seems to give even more reserves than 3x. I've never bothered to measure this in detail though.
    -BUT-
4h production definitely doesn't spoil after 5h, never had that happen. Are you sure you didn't get sabotaged?
