They couldn't find two Asian's to fill the role? Should I point out the overt racism of having two Caucasians dressed in tradition Asian garb as representatives for the Wildlife event?
Yeah, I see it. Reminds me of a guy I knew back home. He was Korean, yet he owned and was the head chef of a Chinese restaurant. Most people had no clue, but man could he ever cook Chinese food. He had no formal training, just learned it on his own. He also made the best kimchi, and no one cared that it wasn't a Chinese staple. He wouldn't even sell it to me. Just gave me several jars whenever I visited his restaurant. I offered, but he refused. The crunchiest, spiciest most flavorful kimchi I have ever had. I was so spoiled that I cannot even buy any of the store-bought kimchi. It is all so bland, nose turning and face cringing. He ruined it for me.
He was making a killing with his restaurant. Problem was, he lost it all when others made a killing off of his (lack of) poker face. We tried to help him, but he was too deep and too far gone, by the time he shared with us his dilemma. One day, he just disappeared and the restaurant closed shortly after. Some speculate that he "paid" for his debts. Others think he fled the country and went back to South Korea. No one knew for sure. No one that we were acquainted with, anyway...
