Threads like 1.9

!.9x is one of the main parts of playing Foe.
The 1.9x threads are used to level other players Great Buildings and gain back rewards of Forge Points and Medals and Blueprints (and secondarily to move Forge Points from the Bar to storage)
1.9x is directly connected to The Arc Great Building.
And The Arc is required to take part to get the extra bonuses!! The primary GB bonus bonus is yours without Arc)
The reason it is called 1.9 is that The Arc to level 80 is relatively easy to achieve. And is the 'first stop" in levels. Arc 80 gives 1.9 times the amount shown as a reward in Great Buildings
And that is 100% the reason for 1.9 threads.1.9 is Arc 80
1.92 is Arc at level 100
1.95 is Arc level 130
2.0 is Arc level 180

New players are tempted to use Swap threads.
There are reasons swap threads are not nearly as efficient as 1.9 treads.
First, the person with the most Forge Points can easily win most of the top rewards in Swaps.
Second, when leveling Great Buildings, 1.9 threads are far more efficient than Swaps.
Third, Swaps make sniping (stealing rewards) much much easier.

While I agree with the explanatory points of ebe's post, I disagree strongly that it's "one of the main parts" of FoE. They are a player-created construct. An efficient one, particularly for mid-progression players, but hardly necessary.

Low progression players can try to pickup cheap low spots in them to get the prints needed to level GBs they want to. But they can just as easily visit neighbors for that as well. Their GBs are not yet at the point where there's much to save from 1.9 - they'll be paying for most of their level one way or another.

Mid progression players that have buildings to take through the "sweet spot" can get nearly-free levels at no cost (or even mild profit) for their assistance. It can be a big pick-me-up to advance their game.

High progression players make so many FP now that they hardly need to worry about others putting FP on their GBs. Also their GBs of interest require so many FP compared to the amount they pay out that, like the low progression players, they only experience a small relative savings. They may continue to use 1.9+ threads out of habit or for social reasons, but sometimes they can get to be more nuisance than they're worth otherwise. When even a first place is a fraction of a day's FP, calculating things out and copy and pasting and all that jazz, nah. I'll often hope to be sniped and if it comes to it, level it with no donors ;)

That is not true. (Except for self levelers) Any extraneous Fps make it annoying to work the 1.9x threads. Mainly due to locking the GB against sniping. Though a big unwanted addition can become very lucrative if the player adding did not lock and handled so they are bumped down.

Also totally not true. For example I am leveling Pegasus right now @ level 108 The Other player contributions are around 10,000 Forge Points with mine at 20,000 So that is 1/3 of all Forge points needed .. And the player placing those get 100% of what they placed back. And conversely when I place on others GBs... so do I ... in 1.9x type threads. Which is why 1.9 are so common in most Guilds. They are the most efficient way to level GBs.
When even a first place is a fraction of a day's FP,
Usually a player is in a guild with other players at a similar level. I make 8,500 Fp* or so at collections, And most upper level players have a decent stash of Fps to use for 1.9x threads.
*(in the new World Ephesus I make 12500 Fps a day.. after only four months)

We all are pretty free to play as we wish. I certainly hoe the OP here thinks over the two above posts and realizes or experiences soon enough which method will be best for his/her own gameplay.
