The villagers of Uradel were SOO happy, but it was not to last! Uradelei days ended, people went back to work, military personel took to the bottle. Drunkeness was rampant. Morale was low, they went half hearted to the towers, many died.......why war they asked? The village was divided, the peace bots took to vandalizing the town, cutting down beautiful healthy trees, picket lines formed at goods production units, copper dropped, alabaster was shattered on ground as a prank, honey was left to rot, and gold was scarce.
Many took to "smoking the hard won herbs", the only popular place in town was the pillories, people delighted in watching the gallows taking a new army deserter every day and every hour.
Chaos was the rule of the day.
And then!!!! We town elders along with Lady Caroline Red decided we could "fix" the town with the help of the
Government of Brisgard.........little did we know of the depth of corruption in GOVERNMENT. We sent a spy,
a witch, and a soothsayer........they came back through misty mountains traveling a hard ride, risking it all to
tell us of deep treachery. We were told that the most recent invasion of our town when people died and our goods
were sabotaged.....it was not an Optimal result!!! Our fine village was still being invaded. The mighty Study Role was feared yet respected for his warring skills. His clan the finest in the land.
Worse yet there was a complicit alliance between a few villagers to cut down our trees for LUMBER! Selling at a profit, cheating the villagers of Uradel of Happiness. It was all about the money. And government corruption ran as deep as the river near our village.
Lady C......took action, sending recquest via eagle, crow and hawks to allies. She shut down the tavern on Sunday,
she rewarded the hard workers, she restored the sanctity of the Trees. She regulated the Dried Herbs. Mood elevated, people worked harder, emmisarries from distant lands came to lend support, the people gathered together as one,
calm and joy were returning.........
Then the "tree sitters" came from afar...........
