What is the best way to build your empire of fragments?

I've been attempting to build my empire of fragments, specifically with beating Rival challenges quickly as well as preparing for any surprise needs that might come up.

So far I have collected:

10x Jesters Stage = 1 finish special production/ day

10x Joyful Nutcrackers = mass self aid

10x Harvest Hub = 1 finish all supply productions.

30x Grilling Groves = 2x 1up kits for new eras to come.

10x koi ponds = rush-able supply productions for quests.

10x Usagi Bonbori gates = 1 finish goods production/ day.

Now, I'm well aware that there are other things that offer these, and I do own many of them for their other offerings. However they often offer these fragments at % chance rates which is something I don't like relying on. So I consider those % options as bonus points for future savings and possibly replaceable more than the guaranteed offerings. I also have dozens of fragments of other things coming in daily. These have just been my primary focus.

I have started to consider these as almost required to get, in the way many consider the arc to be a basic requirement of a successful city.

I do know there's things I'm missing though. I don't keep super detailed count of all the fragments of all things being offered, or how to best stack them. so I know there's things I've missed.

I've come to the hive mind to ask. What other things should I be trying to collect? Are there any other productions I'm missing to be able to reach my cities full potential? What non-GBs do you all consider permanent*ish objects in your cities?

I strongly recommend some Monster Rancher's Nightmare Boxes: These give fragments of store building allowing you the flexibility to pivot strategies at times. The only credible alternative to this is the somewhat larger Holly Hauler, which while bigger also makes 6hr supply rushes.

There's also a number of (superior) alternatives to jester's stages atm for finish special: Escutcheon Estate, Clover Keep Ruin (upcoming), Celtic Glassworks (does both finish goods and finish special).

I totally overlooked the monster ranch, it's definitely going to make my list.

I do have a few of those alts like the Escutcheon estates and a couple Celtic glassworks as well. But I just don't like relying on innos % calculator. So I keep the guaranteed payout and consider the others bonus points for extras.

Nice job. You're thinking like a city Mayor! Planning ahead with items that keep your efficiency high and give you flexibility. I agree with @xivarmy - the store building item allows you to swap building in and out of your city on demand - to solve a problem or test a design.
Keep up the good work.

One more thought for you - try to find some items to give you some help when you need a little extra in a battle, be it GE or GbG, etc. Start making bottles of boost, like Black ones, or Red or New blue. Study up on those because the warrior requirements keep going up and you can't always get the performance you need natively in the buildings your city has. You might need a temporary boost, and a small inventory of them.

Thank you. I do make booster bottles as well, but so far that's basically been as a side result and not a focus. It's also not a bad plan to keep them coming in on the chance I'll come up against something I do need them for.

Well, reading the tea leaves - yes. The new GE is going to punch people's lights out (unless they change it from beta). So you'll potentially need them as their use won't be a luxury anymore, and will be essential for that aspect of the game. I'd start stocking up asap.

Eh? a 300% pot is unlikely to be what punches your ticket in GE where you need thousands. You're better off with better buildings for the most part than a big investment in making pots, that you're not allowed to stack.

i.e. some of these:

XIv - it's not an either or situation. Sure, get both. I believe though, in on demand warrior boost while you secure buildings like you posted. The game is one of incrementalism. Some of the colored bottles have really helped when I am fighting in GbG high attrition or early on, in GE 5 when my stats were realtively weak. z

I'd also advise the OP to get next era warriors or higher by questing, but did want to muddle the waters.
