What is with the absolutely ridiculous pricing in the store?

Is it off by like a decimal place or something? The last thing I saw was a "Special Coin Offer". 4x1 hour mass coin rush, 4x8 hour mass coin rush, and one Finish All Coin Production. For......$49.99!!!!!! Is Inno just trying to rip new players off? It is unconscionable. If that is the cost of mass coin rushes I would be able to sell them in the auction house for hundreds of gemstones each. I would chalk it up to a mistake but there have been many other ridiculous offers recently.

I agree wholeheartedly with @Ebeondi Asi. You are right that the prices are ridiculous, but also easily ignored. Just close the popup window and pretend it was never there. Nothing I've seen in these "offers" has been remotely worth the price, whether it's $49.99 as in your experience or the $99.99 ones I've most often seen. Apparently Inno doesn't even realize how their power creep has made coins/supplies/goods/etc. way too plentiful and easily obtained to ever pay money/Diamonds for them.

I enjoy reversing the offer.. I like to think how much money Inno would pay me to buy from me at the same rate whatever they are offering. With the insane offers they push, if in reverse, I could be a millionaire.. LoL

It is only unconscionable if nobody buys them. Maybe they are testing the market to see what they can get. If you keep seeing them, then there clearly is a market for them.

INNO's bean counters are a bunch of chancers. .They have always tried to entice their customers with such "tempting offers". My reaction to them is.
"OK YEAH, Right!! My initials may be J.S. but that does not signify the name is Joe Soap".
They are like any other supermarket that puts a sellected item onto a big banner saying "LATEST AMAZING OFFER 3 for $20" But when you look on the shelf the item is only $5 each. But if you are mug enough (and some folks are) to take 3 you will be charged the $20 at the checkout. Common business practice. Why should INNO be any different?

I might argue the "Supermarket" model you cited is not adequate to support your conclusion of what is common business practice. At the very least let me point out that in terms of goods for cash exchanged - a supermarket offers something you can touch and own personally. Foe offers nothing for cash except the right to lease their software for entertainment purposes.

Academic arguments aside, I DO believe the Inno/Foe team thinks a little to highly the value of their entertainment product and I have been vocal in my opinion that they shoot themselves in the foot each time a new player purchases something and then realizes how badly they got ripped off.

You hit the nail on the head. The offers are targeted at new players, and are basically rip-offs. Inno's way of saying "Welcome!" lol
