Why does the Antiques Dealer penalize for longer Barter times?

I understand why production buildings are penalized for longer run times (they want you logging in more often) but why is the Antiques Dealer penalizing (maybe not the best word) for longer Barter times?

Here are the Barter times and rewards for a Shrine of Knowledge:

2 hours	6,750	2-3
8 hours	8,440	2-4
1 day	10,130	3-5

I'm not saying that the 1 day coins should be 6,750 x 12 but it definitely seems like it should be higher than it currently is. The 1 day barter isn't even 2x a 2 hour barter.

It's not a penalty, it's a trade off. You choose which is more important: higher payout per item OR more stock sold in the same time

and the 1 day is 1,5x the 2 hrs.

Look at supply buildings. The one hour is many many times more than 24 times the one day.. Each longer segment loses the actual multiple of time vs reward. The AntiquesDealer is exactly the same way.

You are penalized in many ways throughout the game.... It is INNO's way of Thanking You For Playing...
Perhaps you could ease your pain by purchasing some lovely diamonds....
Or... Suck it up Buttercup and do two hour AD turns to "maximize" your profit...
