Winter Event

Dear Kings and Queens,

Winter is inevitably coming! On Thursday, November 26th, Frosty the Snowman will make a return visit to your empire, bringing with him new quests and missions for the winter season.

Each day of the event brings a new challenge you can complete in exchange for some of our seasonal currency – Winter Stars! Collect as many as you can, because you will use the Stars to open presents in our winter shop.

We of course won't let your mobile device freeze too much! The event will be fully playable on all supported mobile devices.

Every day brings a new set of presents containing goodies such as Forge Points, blueprints, units and buildings… and there’s also a special prize every day, which is displayed in the top corner of the window and can be found in one of the presents… the prize could be extra stars, valuable buildings from previous events, renovation kits or even special winter buildings!

Each day you’ll have 24 hours to open presents from a selection. You’ll see the presents – all open – which you have to shuffle to get started. After shuffling, the presents will be wrapped up again and to open each present you will have to spend 10 Stars. When the countdown runs out, the presents reset and a new special prize takes the previous one’s place, so make sure you don't miss out and get your present before it disappears! If you do happen to miss a special winter bonus building you simply have to have, then it can be bought the next day for Diamonds (in most cases).
Remember the the order of the daily rewards will be different than what you could have seen on our Beta server!

Special tiles

In addition to the regular gifts, there’s also a chance you might stumble upon a special reward tile when you open a present. These are:

Shuffle		Presents are reset and must be shuffled again. You also gain 10 Stars when pressing the start button.
Double payout		The next reward is doubled... even buildings are given out twice!
Show 2		The contents of two unopened presents are revealed (but not taken) + you get 3 stars.

New, unique buildings and avatars

Two new festive avatars are available to be snapped up in this year's winter event (not to mention Frosty's pretty face, if you don't possess it yet), and we've got three new winter buildings to collect throughout the course of the event: Winter Pyramid, Reindeer Sleigh and, as you could have expected, an improved Confectionery. In general, if you already have one of the Confectioneries, you will be able to get its larger version (up to the brand new Legendary Confectionery!). Also all of the Winter buildings from the previous years will be available again for you to obtain: The Nutcracker, Snow Globe, Festive Tree, Winter Gate with its two Gate Statues, Gingerbread House... and all the other ones.
If you manage to get all of them, you can get yourself a nice winter village!

And we also have something special for our mobile players... If you launch our mobile app and select a present from the winter event window, you will see....
snow! :]

Be sure to keep your eye on the Countdown Timer-

The event is on a countdown timer. Open the Winter Event button (looks like a gift package). In the upper right corner is a '?'. Click this.

At the bottom, it shows the countdown timer down to the number of seconds the event has left.
