I got 5k diamonds across 10 worlds from this year's Winter Event. I am pleased with this result. You can do whatever else you want to this event in future years Inno, as long as you leave this diamond prize in there.

But @Algona, aren't made up statistics the best kind of statistics?? For example, did you know that 10,000.00% of FoE players are going to quit if Inno doesn't deliver the following by January 1, 2017?
- Unlimited expansions; each expansion is just 1 diamond
- Hood shuffle where you are always placed in a hood with people at your level
- Hidden explosive devices to punish attacker/plunderers
- Events where every player tells Inno what they want to win...and Inno gives it to them...for free
- Building rotation (okay, this one I really do want)
- Building storage

On a more serious note, it's time we ignore these clowns.
They had their five minutes of fame.
It's pretty clear they don't really play the game.
They are just here to troll.
Keep in mind they play on disposable accounts.
It means nothing to them if they get banned.
Odds are they are the same type of people, fresh out of the tutorial, who send you letters telling you to quit FoE.
They will be gone in a month.
Pointless talking to them.
Pointless trying to reason with them.
They do what they do on purpose.
They are here for one thing:
To cause as much damage to the game as possible.
Period.
If they were actual, real gamers, they would not carry on like this.
Because they would care about their accounts.
Ignore them.

I'll use my 1,000th post to say this.
I feel this event could have been better.
The shuffle is there to prevent savvy players with star stockpiles from clearing the board in one shot.
I did that with the Casino Wheel, and made out like a bandit.
Overall I still consider the event a good thing. Why?
Free stuff.
Even if it's one present a day from Town Hall stars...
It's still free stuff you get from two mouse clicks.
Free stuff every day.
Be it coins, supplies, medals, military buildings, or even a prime.
Algona pointed out why the military buildings are worth more than most people think.
You can hold off on your tech tree if you get a military building of your new era/age.
FoE is a pretty successful game, despite some things some players wish was better.
I wish some things were better.
I'm very happy with my gaming experience so far.
Don't look for the bad in things.
Look for the good, the silver lining, the potential for gains, no matter how large or small.
I enjoy how Inno makes videos introducing us to the Developers.
I feel that adds a personal touch.
It's nice to see where my money goes.
And I have no plans on cutting the purse strings anytime soon.
I'll put my money where my mouth is, here's my city.

Land very quickly becomes the key constraint in the game; diamonds and medals can buy expansions. I don't recall seeing any Extra Large medal packages (10x the small value vs. 5x for the Large medal packages), but that is minor. I like that Wishing Wells have shown up twice and stocked up on a number of worlds. When the Artillery building came up early on, two worlds I had just pushed to Future Era won Rail Gun Ranges, months before I would gotten them through the tech tree (ditto for Heavy building where I was in Future (HOver Tanks) and Tomorrow (Stealth Tanks). I am not a fan of the seasonal decorations.

tried for and got medals several times and....I just got my latest land expansion with 240,000 medals...WOOHOOO doing happy dance.

did not mass any thing relay.
and of course they did not try my great idea of giving land. not like i asked for 100 pieces of land..
inno s/ have at least tested it in the world i play in.
it would have gone well.. very well for inno and the players too!!
i suggest in the future that, you at least try the ideas.
that is the point of these message boards!

I got mine from the Winter event too.
Unfortunately, with all the new land that's opened up, I guess I'll have to hold onto my five space-hog caravansaries since more medal expansions are likely to come up when Oceanic comes out.

Because there is a fixed amount of expansions available in the game, Inno is extremely unlikely to make it a reward for an event. The closest that they are going to do is give you medals to allow you to buy the existing (or future coming) victory expansions.

AND even then it is limited to the number you can get per age...otherwise they would run out too soon with everyone clamoring for more and they would have server trouble as well as massive lag. They keep trying to slow people down as it is, they are not going to open that up for a massive run on land.
