I'm assuming this was on auto battle. And I further assume, based on what I know of you, that you did not believe that you would lose this battle. Because of that, this bothers me. Out of curiosity, what area was this battle in? GE? GBG? DC? Event?

If the timer runs out on Guild Expedition, or you lose control of your connecting Guild Battlegrounds province then yes, you’d automatically lose the battle.

I was on GE last night. No timer ran out. I had only my normal units returned to me, not my rogues. And yes, autobattle. It came out of nowhere. I've never seen it before. I had no idea your army could just choose to surrender on its own.
