Apple Tree question

If I see an apple tree in my area and ignore it, does it produce more apples?
I've had a lot of 2 and 3 apples produced and an occasional 5 apples.
Was just wondering if I left them and "harvested" them just under 24 hours would I receive more apples?

To sum up the Apples Trees:

Collect Apple Trees as soon as you see them.
They do not get better with age.
When you Motivate or Polish someone, you have a chance to plant an Apple Tree in their yard.
You also have a good chance to win 1 apple every time you M/P someone.
